what is up up with the pennington story in new york. are the keeping him or letting him go? and if so we should pick him up

Looks like a lot will depend on Pennington's willingness to take a pay cut. He's been a good QB when healthy, but the Jets may be close to deciding that he's not gonna work out. Sucks because it means they very well might take a QB in the first.

They want him to take a pay cut. He is due to make $9 million in salary and bonuses in 2006. The Jets want him to take a $1 million base salary and recoup the other money on reaching incentives. He is due a $3 million roster bonus on March 3rd. It looks like it will be a game of poker between the Jets and Pennington to see who folds first. A story to keep on watching for sure.

He is done, he was noodle armed to begin with and now 2 surgeries later I suspect I could thorw the ball with more velocity.

lol.. Hopefully the Jets draft Jay Cutler. I don't want the Dolphins to make the biggest mistake of their history by grabbing Jay Cutler.

i had the same post almost and was burned for it glad to see urs is going civil...i think he would be worth a try if and only if he was cheap cheap.

I had rotator cuff surgery last year, same procedure Chad had.....it takes a long time to regain the strength and it is doubtful he will able be able to throw the long ball again. Look for Fiedler to be the Jet's starter. :D

Considering Fiedler won't be on the team next year, it will be pretty hard for him to be the starter. Fiedler has a high cap number, and had a worse shoulder injury than Pennington.
