Chad showed some guts, but for most of the game, our receivers had 2 catches for 25 yards. My question is, is that Chad, our receivers, our OL....what? It kind of stinks because Ginn is a speedster, it is going to suck when the QB can't get it there. I am not saying bench Penny after one game, but I am already having Trent Green flash backs from last year.

chad really showed ALOT this game, I was frustrated at times with his arm strength . . . but Henne or Beck would have been KILLED in this game . . . the Jets were bringing that much pressure. Pennington looked savvy at times being the veteran he is and he kept us in the game.

Pennington was good, but not great. We defenitely need to run the ball more with ronnie brown. Give ronnie 25 carries a game and ricky 10-15, we should be good.

Its the WR. The only WR we have that threatens anyone on D is Ginn, and the Jets gameplanned for him accordingly. They didn't give Ginn a chance to go deep, leaving the TEs open underneath, which is why Fasano did so well. No other WR demanded coverage so the defense could focus on ginn all game. Which is why Lowery looked so good cause, heh, he only had to cover Camarillo and Bess.

I agree, he looked cool under pressure. It just sucks because our receivers aren't big possesion guys. They are guys that can get behind people. TE's looked good, I expect more of that this season. On a good note, our D bent, but didn't break and gave us a chance at the end. It stinks to lose another close one after all of them last year. Every one else in the AFC East won too = (

probably one of the most boring quarterbacks in the history of football. he is also probably one of the best game managers. I truely expect more running against the cardinals. Im scared about our secondary more than anything. true, it was brett farve at the helm. I just cant believe we didnt pull that one off. im not upset about it but, one cant help but to wish for a win. by the way, ndukwe needs to be cut! pick up martin from the cowboys and we can go on our marry ways. he almost got chad crusified.

Our WR's still have a long way to go before ANY team will be even slightly scared of them...

Our TE's played great today.

Miami will be looking for a Big-Time Playmaker WR next season through the Draft and/or Free Agency. Ted still is no where near a bust for Miami. It takes about 3 seasons before you should close the door on an NFL WR. However it does not look good so far this season. Although it could be the play calls and protection for Chad.

If I was trying to get the rock to Ted, I would throw Drag, Hook & FLY patterns to him.

A loss is a loss but....YOU HAVE TO ADMIT MIAMI PLAYED WELL.

Key Loss Plays:
* Jake Long x2 (Flag that overturned 2 first downs runs by Chad.)
* Goodman (BS call if you ask me...not b/c I am a FINFAN...but b/c it was BS!!!)
* Ricky (Held the ball to long on the Flea-Flicker ... GINN was WIDE OPEN!!!)
* No Call On Delay Of Game (When Brett threw the 5-yard pass for a 1st down pass deep in Miami) The clock should have read -2 seconds...LOL

Good Key Points
* 2-Minute Drill was great. Chad threw the last one up AKA brett's play...on diffence Hill was not covering a ghost runner, instead Revis was all over the play.
* DEFENSE played really well. Yeap they gave up some big plays...but overall for such a young group of players, they played well enough to get us a WIN. Even allowing a RB to run for 101 yards.
* Chad played really good considering all things. I was impressed with his play today.

...

Miami will not be a 1-15 team this year. They will improve on OFFENSE and the DEFENSE will only get better. It felt great watching the game, even when they were down early it felt like they were STILL IN IT!!!

GO PHINS!!!

At the beginning of the game, you couldnt tell me Chad was the passer with the most completions in history, talk about slow starts..

As much as I disliked us picking up Pennington. He showed me alot in this first game. He still does not have the strongest of arms but. He does run offense pretty good. And wide receivers need to get open more. There was no separation for them.

How much of the receivers not getting open though is DB's sitting on routes because we don't have a QB that can throw deep? I am not bashing Penny, just stating a fact.

No you are bashing Penny. The fact is that playmakers make plays. The same way Ginn couldn't make a damn play receiving punts when it WAS ALL ON HIM is the same way he doesn't get enough separation or hasn't shown us that he worth the number 9 overall pick in the draft. Stop making excuses for the WR situation, this has been an ongoing excuse factory since Chambers was a rookie. I saw Camarillo and Bess make clutch catches on 3rd down. I saw Fasano catch a few balls down the middle. I saw Ginn do what he did last year. Play like he was invisible most of the game.

all due respect to ginn, he really didnt have a chance to do anything.. he was double covered most of the time with a safety spy and revis. since ginn is our only option we cant really do anything.. the thing i see will unfold is miami getting chad jackson. the guy will come in and earn the starting role.. i just have a feeling
