After watchig last night's game, I noticed something about Henne, his year plus as Pennington's back up has really paid off. he wasn't rushed, he was in total control and he didn't make many mistakes last night. Pennington wasn't at the game last night, but his presence was felt. Henne learned a lot and it showed.

I agree. No way he is that good without learning from Pennington. He was too sloppy when he first came out.

Yeah the commentator mentioned that Pennington was home watching the game but he'd been the practices all week helping out. Solid guy.

Chaddy P is all about team! I hope he can stay as a coach of some sort...bottom line his leadership is showing now in Henne and would be a good thing to have around the organization. He is well respected...I really appreciate what he did for this team last year!

I saw some Chad Pennington in Henne last night. The smart decisions, not forcing the ball, taking what the defense gives you, the pass to fasano.. etc etc

Henne looks like Pennington out there with a big arm. I love it.

Thank you Chad Pennington :hi5:

AHAHAHAHAHAAHA never heard something more hilarious... really :chuckle:

If Henne is good its because of his talent, not of Pennington
The only traces of Pennington could be seen in the checkdown passes

LOL Great post man

i was thinking the same thing...he made smart decisions but man..can he put some zip on that ball.

How about that throw to Camarillo on the last drive on the comeback to the sideline right near the endzone. That was a tight spiral with some zip on it. No time for the corner or safety(whoever was covering) to react and make a play.

Pennington has definately made a difference in Chad Henne. I thank Chad Pennington for all that hes done for this team last season and grooming Chad Henne into our potential future QB. Im very impressed with Chad Hennes poise and decision making. He makes some good throws.

I think WE are seeing Henne come into his own. I seen Henne trying to be Henne 2.0, yes Penny had something to do with his development. But like Peyton and others have said, the best learning comes from actually being out there on the field.
If Penny helped at all in this game, it would be talking to Henne about tendencies of the S's and CB's. imo.

Im not taking away from Chad Henne's talent, i dont think anybody is. The kid can play. I think he had all the tools to be a great QB. I just think that the year under Penny learning the little things and learning how to study defenses and stuff from one of the smartest QBs really helped out.

TOTALLY CONCUR! "Coach" Pennington was mos def the man behind the man last night! here's hoping it continues for some time to come!!

yea being Penny back up worked out look at how great that worked out for Rivers and the Chargers after him having to sit behind Brees.
