First off, Let me say I'm not bashing Pennington at all. He's a great leader and i'm proude he's apart of the miami dolphins. That being said, did anyone else notice Ronnie wide open in the flat on a key third down when he chose to throw the ball to another WR? I cant remember who it was but it was 3rd and 5 or so. Ronnie had no one around him and would have picked up a ton of yards. Also, Cobbs was open deep on another play for a sure touchdown and Pennington didnt even see him. I'm just wondering how much of this is going on?

He cant see EVERY open reciever. I mean it all happens so fast and honestly i say this with experience as a QB (highschool) you see a lot less when your actually playing then you do watching. Its just one of those things. CP is great and i have no complaints.

There are a lot of open receivers that Chad misses and often they become open as the pocket is collapsing. Pass protection is key. I do think Chad goes too conservative too often. It seems like he's protecting his passer efficiency at times and it's very frustrating that he doesn't let it loose.

We've had plenty of quarterbacks here that have "let it loose." You know, guys like Jay Feeley, Ray Lucas, Joey Harrington, etc...

Pennington is not trying to protect his passer efficiency. He's trying to protect the football and avoid costly turnovers because he knows that we have a strong defense and a strong running game. He also knows that you don't have to "let it loose" to win football games. When it counts, Pennington has proven to make tons of good decisions and good execution.

QBs go through a progression and if he gets to his 1st or 2nd option and determines one of them is open enough to throw it he's not going to get to brown who may be his 3rd option.

Penningtons decision making is not the issue... It's his arm strength.
If Henne picks apart Penningtons brain... He be the a franchise QB.

agree with part about Henne picking Pennington's brain.

Disagree with arm strength being an issue. Pennington doesn't really have any issues at this point. He's been one of the best quarterbacks in the league through 10 games.

He doesn't have great arm strength, but it's far from an "issue." The guy is making all the throws he needs to make, especially in pressure situations late in ball games.
