Pennington's positives and negatives.

Let's start with the positives-

1. Amazing accuracy in the short to intermediate passing game.
2. Very smart with the ball, doesn't throw too many bad passes.
3. A good leader who knows how to run an offense and score points consistently.
4. EXCELLENT pocket presence, very often I have seen him avoid the pressure and then scramble out and connect on a pass.
5. Speaking of scrambling, he is a very smart and effective runner in certain situations, when he sees an opening he takes it and usually gains 10-15 yards. He's got average speed and agility, but definitely knows when he can pick up a first down with his legs.


Now the negatives we have -

1. Doesn't have a cannon for an arm, not very effective at the BOMB down the sideline. Still throws a very good mid-range ball though.
2. INJURIES.... he has been plagued by them his entire career, nearly every season.
3. Age- hes over 30.



I believe when Pennington is healthy he's a TOP 10 QB in the league, or at the very least top 16, definitely above average when it comes to NFL QB.
