Minus the TD, Penny had the same completion percentage, but better yards per completion.

Penny = 11 YPC
Farve = 9.6 YPC

WE WIN!

I rather have the TD... over Yards per completion lol

but i also take the win hahhaa

We got the TD. We didn't need a completion to get it, we had Ricky. Something the Jets lack.

Week One could be the game of the season...Who would of thunk it?! :)

Chad P. is armed and ready..This season is going to be fun!

The biggest NFL game in week one will be the Fins - Jets game. I defy any person anywhere that truly believed that to be possible back in January!

We need to calm down ...

Its a LOOOOOONG road back from 1-15. We have a rookie head coach ... a QB who can't throw the out-routes (at least not to his own team) ... a defense minus its best tackler and best pass rusher ... and an unproven Offensive Line. Don't expect too much this year. If we win more than 4 games it will be a miracle and Sperano should get Coach of the Year. I hate to say it, but we'll probably lose by 2 TD's on opening day. We just need to concentrate on getting a little better each week.

Glad Chad impressed. He's easy to root for, at least until he starts costing you games, and since he's off my team even that won't bother me any more. :)

Just like he did last year, right?

Boy with all those 2 TD/0 INT games he sure ****ed you guys

People need to understand we are not a 1-15 team.

Miami lost for most of the year their two top RBs, their starting QB, the heart of our defense (and one of the best LB in the NFL), a ton of safeties, our top WR, a HC that was over his head as HC, and scared as our O-coordinator.

Question: If the Patriots, had lost Brady, Moss, their top 2 RBs, one of their best players on their front 7, and about 4 safeties, how well do you think the Patriots do last year?

Not saying Miami has the type of talent the Patriots do, but if not for the injuries, and horrible coaching, Miami wins from 5-8 games...maybe more. (we were in quite a few games where if we had had that extra help....different story

If Sparano proves to be at least an ok HC (So far he has proven he knows what he is doing), and this team ends the {out for the year} injuries to as many key players as last year, this team is far better then a 4 win team.

Why do I think so:

2 years ago, this team had the 2nd best defense in the NFL (top 10 almot every year), they lost 2 very key players, but brought in what is looking like alot of vey solid players, and so far in Pre-season the 1st team D has looked lights out. Don't think they will be as good as 2 years ago, but will be a lot better the last year, and could be top 10 yet again.

Offensively it has been a long time since we had success, all of a sudden we have a QB that can pick a defense apart, a RB that looks like a monster against 1st team players, and an O-line that is starting to look better the average crew that just keeps getting better every week. We do need better WR play, but Ginn looked good today, Hagan is starting to catch the balls thrwon to him, and Bess does not seem to know how to drop a ball thrown to him.

This is still not a playoffs team, far from it, they still need to come together better, mature and catch up to NFL speed, but this team does have enough talent where if thing were to go normal injury wise with better Coaching then last year, they can win 7-8 games.....get lucky and have very few serious injuries, then yes maybe more the 7-8 games.

some of you are so clueless that its hilarious. Your fanbase kills this man as a Jet, now that you have him its "OMG we have a good QB guyz". The guy has been atrocious for the last 2 years. a 1 TD to 1 INT ratio is far from 2 TD 0 INT games like you paint. Nothing I can say will change your mind b/c a lot of you already have it preset that you must defend him b/c he is a fin. By week 7 I will come back looking for the same Penny comments.

Granted this was just a preseason game, but one does have to admit...the first unit offense looked pretty good against Jacksonville stout first unit defense.

As it's been pointed out. It's a long road back from 1-15, but I do have to say that I am pleasantly surprised and have a sense of optimism that I lacked coming intot he season.

Please do come back in week 7 so we can talk about this, but for now he looked good and the optimistic fan would disagree with you. If you want to start the season as a negative Dolphin fan have at it. Enjoy the season.
