People have quickly forgotten what the trifecta was handed and how they have handled it so far.
About a year and a half ago, Bill Parcells and co came on board here in Miami where the dolphins were a MESS. Not just because we went 1-15, but because of years and years of incompetence in the front office.
Take a look at this link and look at the drafts from about the year 2000 to the year 2007.

From the year 2000-2007, NINE players are still on this team. let me repeat that....NINE players. Those nine players are Yeremiah Bell, Vernon Carey, Ronnie Brown, Channing Crowder, Jason Allen, Matt Roth, Ted Ginn, Paul Solai, and Brandon Fields. Not only that but the rest of the team was a mess with no qb, horrible offensive line with no depth, no receievers, no tight end, a horrid aging front seven, and if you can even call it a secondary...so what does this equal to...a team that cant compete on the field.
So add a little Bill Parcells and co and what do we have a year and a half later??
QB: Runner up in MVP race and future star waiting in the wings
RB: One of if not the best running back combo in the league with ronnie, ricky and cobbs
WR: A bunch of capable receivers, and an improving ted ginn
TE: Anthony Fasano, a very good blocker and a touchdown target for pennington
OLINE: Huge and good. Oline is starting to really come around and there going to be one of the best in the league
Dline: Tough and Big dline led by ferguson with youngers merling, langford, and starks. These guys have not come into their prime yet and there playing pretty good.
LB: A position that still needs much improvement, but 'magically' joey porter returns to pro bowl form.
Secondary: Still got Bell and allen and two future starts in davis and smith.
Soooo overall, people seem to forget what has been done in a year and a half, and im just trying to remind some of you that this front office did all that in 2 off-seasons, just imagine what this team will look like in another year or 2. Basically, it was like taking an expansion team and building it up,and there going to continue to build it the right way...
