People need to chill out. Pat White was picked too high no doubt but Parcells does everything with a purpose. As for WR, I think Turner translates to the pros better than alot of names I was seeing, like Iglesias. Turner may have been picked too high but if you target players and have a chance to get them, you do it.

The Raiders took the 70th ranked safety in the second round and after seeing his youtube video...he is a playmaker! Take a look...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8KF2-_OXoA

Everybody ranks players differently and on the field play means a lot. Barwin was passed up by a lot of teams..including the Patsies who needed him! Pat White is the only QB to win 4 bowl games as a starter..he is a winner. Patrick Turner has NFL size and good speed and comes from a winning program. Hartline = Winner..this draft was not ideal for everyone but give the guys a chance. These guys took us from a one win team to a division title. I think they are qualified.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing people cry around about how this was a far worse draft than Wanny and Spielman could have done.

I was surprised by the Turner and Hartline picks as well, but step back and realize that Parcells and Ireland & Co. have scouted these guys and spoken to and watched them IN PERSON as opposed to us just reading our draft magazines and reading web-based mock drafts.

Everyone is entitled to thier opinion. Its not we can choose if we liked our draft or not. Either you do or you don't.

lol Micheal Mitchell, the hitter. His position shouldn't even be called safety, just Hitter. I don't even think he looks where the ball is being thrown, just sees the WR and hones in on him like a missile. Good highlights, terrible coverage.

but yeah, no reason to freak out about our draft. we did fine.

I agree with this thread's message. After initially being very upset with our 3rd and 4th round picks, I'm beginning to like them more the more I look into them. I think there was just some initial shock because they were 2 guys I didn't see us spending mid round picks on, especially not back-to-back.

With that said, it's perfectly fine to question some of these picks. Bill and Jeff are going to miss from time to time (see Wilford, Ernest).

I guess my point was, if you listen to Kiper past the first round, you are wasting your time. He does nice evaluations but has no clue what it takes to be a pro football player(although he does wear a nice helmet on his head everyday). Sometimes you draft guys that make plays and you cant worry about measurables because they don't mean everything. I like winners on our team!

Agree, and more than half of these guys likely won't work out.

WHITE WASNT PICKED HIGH!!! i really cant wait till next year when everyone is proved wrong by this kid... as soon as he was picked i was all crazy for it.. ppl need to realize that our FO knows a lil more about football then we all do..

People do realize that, but it doesn't mean fans can't question questionable picks.

Al Davis "knows a lil more about football" than me, but I still say DHB was a terrible pick at #7 overall.

that saftey looks nasty.
does vonte davis have any highlights like that?

but its not even a questionable pick...it fits perfect with our system and the FO thought it was the value pick at that position that could help us win games more than any other pick could.. why question that?

Quit thinking. Anything the front office does is gold. All thier draft picks were great. Pat White is our future starter. The rest of the NFL does not have a clue and the singlewing is the best innovation in the history of the NFL.

If you truly believe the Hartline pick wasn't questionable at all, then good for you. I disagree w/ you though. After getting a WR in the 3rd, there sure seemed to be better value on the board than another #4 WR that will primarily be a ST's guy.

You can be a Dolphins fan and still question Dolphins picks. These guys aren't perfect.

So now maybe Mitchell wasnt a reach because he has youtube highlights?

I dont know if White was a reach, if he might've fallen to the 4th or maybe the team picking after us had designs on taking him. It was, however, a luxury pick. This team has too many holes and that was front 7 talent available when we drafted White.

For me, it was less a quaestion of whether he was picked too high, but rather whether he should've been picked at all(by us).

uh,uh,ahh there isn't anything good about Turner's speed.

Keep it real man.
