Forget, not froget.

i was just excited about this froget thing... i thought maybe it was a new dance craze the kids were getting into... do the froget!

Everybody always cites Minor's ypc as if it's a clear indication of his productivity. When you have limited carries, you tend to have a higher ypc. Minor salvaged his career by being a standout ST player, and frankly that's all he will be.

Maybe all our backs will do better now that we have a coaching staff with more imagination than always calling runs between the tackles.

Minor is a solid player as a backup and worked good as Ricky's backup he is just not suited well to be a starter. I think Minor bring more to the table than Sammy.

i really don't think we need to dissect our 3rd string running back all that much. minor will be adequate, i don't think you can ask for much more out of a third stringer. also, forget about him being improved by our coaching staff. he (and all other backs) will increase their productivity because of having pepper at QB. teams won't be able to stack 8 in the box now like they did against our former qb's, who i will not mention.

Thing is Minor racked up his 4.1 YPC in limited time, often used on third down in down/distance situations that are not conventional running situations.

ie: 3 & 12, and Minor takes a draw play out of the shotgun to catch the defense "offguard". He goes for 7 yards; it looks good on the statsheet, but dosen't do squat for the game.

I think KJ better fits as a #2 back behind RB, just MHO

Minor is a classic third down back on a team that no longer has a use for that kind of player because Brown is a good pass catcher and doesn't come out on third downs. Our offense now needs a second number one back, a guy who can get 150 or so carries a season. I don't think Minor is that guy. Harris has the size, and should this preseason get the chance to prove he has the stuff.

Travis is o.k, but he his really a third down back.
If he has a "break-out" year it will most likely be as a third down back..

minor will not be the "third down back", he will not be a "second number one back" or anything like that. he will be the third stringer. sammy morris will be the number two, plain and simple. and in my humble opinion, he will do an admirable job. kay-jay harris is garbage, he will be either on the practice squad or looking for a job by season's start.
