You better watch out because now you are disagreeing with Saban and you will be banished to hell for doing so. Didn't you know that anyone who does not agree with a Saban decision knows nothing and is not even entitled to an opinion. Because Saban picked Brown he will be the next Walter Payton. By the way, I kind of agree with you.

We spend 20 million and another 1st round pick on an RB sigh that 3 first round picks on an RB alrdy. He didnt even have 1,000 yards and only had 34 catches and 24 years old again we get back to running the ball Wanndstatt crap :nono: . We gave Fielder a top defense,Chambers,Mcmichael,Derius,Ricky and we still didnt get to playoffs.Feeley is no better than Fiedler. I wudda traded down for him he's good but not worth #2 overall for sum1 who has done nothing in college.

With who? If someone really wanted to trade up I'm sure they would have, but the lack of trades until later in the first round make me believe most teams were happy where they were.

I was pretty bummed - especially given that Edwards went #3. I wonder if we could have traded down had we already had him in hand? I'm not upset that we went Brown but the age thing scares me along with no "real" proven track record.

saban played against this guy and said his team would be nursing injuries on monday...from facing him.

Great hands, burst, speed, blocking....and size to dish out a beating.....keep him in on third down and create mismatches against defenses. He will be great out of the backfield as a receiver! This guy will have relief in our backfield for breathers....
Gordan and Morris can get 4-5 carries to his 20-25. Great start for us!

too bad RW and wanny set us so far back

what would you have done? Seriously there was not much better of an option. Braylan Edwards is good but runningback is our biggest need. Also Ronnie Brown is on the same level as Braylan Edwards. Ronnie Brown is probably the best or second best player in the draft. It is a honor to be drafted ahead of two other outstanding runningbacks like benson and cadillac williams.

Agree 100%. Brown was the pick, besides, he is such a good receiver that he has been compared to some of the best wRs as well. 2 for 1 perhaps?? ;)

WERKS fer me !!

We needed a RB...it was our top priority and I think we got the best running back in the draft....now we can maybe get a o-lineman and some other needs...I think Saban did the right thing...not too many teams were able to trade down so we took the BPA and the right guy for Miami.

Yea but whos going to throw him the ball? Feeley? Not on a consistent basis. We should have traded back into the first round to get Rodgers.

And what give up our 1st next year our 2nd this year and maybe our 3rd as well, to take a qb that is going to sit this year and maybe the next??? And give up a chance to get one of the stud LT that is coming out next year? We need our picks, not trade away our picks.

i'm still a little lukewarm on the brown pick, but apparently saban didn't get what he wanted in trade down value, plus smith was gone and rodgers wasn't worth the reach at 2, and braylon was a smokescreen, so brown was the pick. it must not be that bad to take a rb at 2 since two more teams followed our lead, but i worry about investing so much into a guy who has not yet carried a full load. i think he'll be great and he'll grow on me, but yes i still am a bit aprehensive about the pick.

i agree with the picks.....BUt Feeley is not the answer..if we could have moved up to get rodgers....oh if..............but we mite be stuck with that bum AJ

Just be happy Brown is going to be great. Some people are just so negative. Lets see this kid on the field before anyone says he was a mistake.
