I saw this in another thread that people agreed with and thanked the poster for informing them of that scenario, but unfortunately it is incorrect.


If the Dolphins lose @ KC, Win @ NYJ
AND New England lose Vs. AZ, Win @ Buffalo

The Miami Dolphins WILL NOT clinch the division. Sadly, the Patriots would.

New England would have to lose to Buffalo, and claim another division loss, assuming the Fins beat the Jets for the Fins to win the division at 10-6. I say f*** it, lets just win out.

I think we've known for weeks that if we dont win out we wont win the division. If new england loses to buffallo instead of arizona then we can still lose the chiefs game and still play for the divison title.

what are you talking about?

I did it with us losing to KC, and beating the Jets.....and once with NE losing to ARI, once losing to BUF.

In both scenarios, we are the #3 seed.....not sure what you are looking at.

No. Youre trying to misinform. That dudes scenerio's are dead on. He has been the guy on here who has been on the money for a few weeks now. Quit trying to misinform when you are lost. If we lose to KC, we can still claim the division at 10-6 by beating the Jets if the Pats lose either one of their last 2.

Ya know what though. ALL OF THIS bs is ****ing POINTLESS. Lets just face some facts.......

1) We arent losing to KC

2) We arent getting a wildcard

3) Baltimore isnt losing to Jacksonville

4) Most importantly, the Pats arent losing to Arizona or Buffalo.

5) We MUST win our last 2 games to qualify for the playoffs.

I, like most of the Fin heaven faithful, hope that the Fins put an end to the "What if's". I feel we can win this outright. Lets get 2 more wins and get ready for the playoffs. The Chiefs are 2-12 and I don't think anybody in Miami is taking anything for granted. Joey Porter's post game interview sd that Monday we get ready for KC. Cold weather may not be as big an issue as in the past. There was an excellent post earlier that stated alot of this team is from cold weather regions. I feel good, not overconfident , but good. WE CAN DO THIS.

This thread is in contradiction to Pasquale's post. I believe Pasquale is correct. We can lose to KC and still win the division if we all finish 10-6 based on Pasquale's post below

The Dolphins can also win the division title if the Dolphins, Jets, and Pats finish tied with 10-6 (or 10-5-1) records, and the Dolphins defeat the Jets. The Dolphins would win the division based on their common games tiebreaker over the Jets and their strength of victory tiebreaker advantage over the Pats.

What tics me off is the cheater Pats should have lost to Seattle but the Ref's gave it to them. Last weeks Jet's win over Buffalo was also crazy. It all tells me that the football gods have decreed we must win out to win in the Playoffs :hi5:

I think anything is possible. Pats could lose to Arizona. The Cardinals actually have the firepower to go toe to toe with them and the Pats defense has been suspect. Buffalo nearly beat the Jets except a bone head coaching move. And in the end...we have to beat the Jets in the cold on the road. The playoffs wont come easy fin fans.
