Per Jackson: Dolphins have interests in TE Finley

Looking into Finley I like Philip Gaines is definitely interesting...hmmm...auditioning pass rushers maybe there is legs to this potential trade of dion Jordan...if so I bet it would go down draft week

Pick 22 their 2nd and 4th rounders and I'm listening...then you could grab dee ford as a situational rusher who has explosive rush tools but doesn't project as an every down 43 de at that acquired trade pick or in a slight trade down and have ammo for other needs and multiples picks in round 2 and four and could if need be use that ammo to trade up from 19...although the only thing I'm going up for is jake Mathews should he get to say 10

Finley has too many drops even at his prime

see ebron.

i see posts about finleys drops [true] but then i see people all giggidy over eric ebron who is also a dropster.

a dropster is a dropster weather he is a vet or a rooky. if drops are a big concern, and they should be, then one is as bad as the other. they both have a high potential to hurt your team.

finley isnt a knee injury. those are the things that take [or break] a long time to get over. his neck is healthy enough or it isnt. if it is, then he will be the player he was as his arms, hands and leggs and knees are the same as they were so i just see him him shaking some dust off in the preseason and being fine during the year.

teams are doing there leg work and you can bet they have heard that finley's career isnt over, his neck is healing fine and will play again if he wishes to. if they were not getting that kind of a report then all these teams would not be after him this early on.

this is a player i feel we get if hickey and philbin really want him.

I spoke to Finley's agent a few weeks ago & he said Finley and Philbin didn't really get along & didn't expect him to sign with Miami. I'll ask again next time I see him.

Joe's progress would have been helped by brining in a handful of "his guys".

Let's also not forget that Finley pissed and moaned about the great Aaron Rodgers before his handlers stepped in to modify the message. Philbin already got rid of Marshall. I don't see this as a match made in heaven (as compared to me and the fins fan in Daytona's Sig)

Maybe we can trade for Fasano. I knew that we would have a hard time replacing him. Our running game was affected as well.
Finley is not the answer. His best years are behind him.

I like the name and think he is talented, but I am not sure he is that different from Clay. I think the team needs a big bodied TE that can block and be a red area weapon. The red flags on Finley's neck is off the charts.

Plus, I still love the Dion Sims pick. I am not giving up on him.

Which were the mistakes? Matt Flynn?

There were chances at receiving talent such as Greg Jennings and James Jones. John Kuhn was available this year. In the past offseason, there were some interior linemen.

On the other side of the ball, B.J. Raji, Ryan Pickett and Charles Woodson come to my mind.

My point is that maybe his systems and culture would have been implemented better if he had "his guys". He has done it over the top in terms of his coaching staff.
