Per NFLN, Goodell thinking Prime Time for 2010 draft

Just heard on NFLN that Roger Goodell is thinking about putting the 1st round on Thursday night, rounds 2-3 on Friday and 4-7 on Saturday..for the 2010 NFL Draft.

IMO that would suck bad...I enjoy Draft weekend and look foward to it every year.

If they move to primetime, I was hoping they'd go with their initial idea - Friday night primetime for the first 16 picks of the 1st rd, Sat PM for the rest of the 1st & the 2nd rd, then Sunday PM for the rest.

They have been slowly building toward that, by moving the start time further and making the third round occur on the second day. It is much better for ratings, but draft junkies like me cannot handle that.

I hate the idea.

What in the hell ever happened to starting at NOON on Saturday and including rounds 1-3.

It seems as if the NFL wants change for the sake of change.

I liked that way a lot better...I can go with how its going now but would hate the new idea. I enjoy and look foward to "Draft Weekened" not Draft Week or Prime Time Draft. I'm sure plenty of other fans feel the same way.

The draft itself is really a pretty insignificant event (for fans) that has been hyped up into some sort of event.. even i get wrapped up in it but really, at the end of the day.. nobody and i mean NOBODY has any idea who did well or who didnt until years later.. most of the times.. its a bunch of no names no one has ever heard of being drafted.
