Sorry I don't have the link because I'm at work but I read it on Rotoworld and it was reported by Ben Violin from the Palm Beach Post. Rotoworld also mentioned how the Sun Sentinel is "consistently unreliable" for reporting that he had a 6th year.

I hope we can get him extended for a long time, he had a down year with all of the injuries but is an incredible LT.

The consistently unreliable South Florida Sun-Sentinel claimed last week that Long's rookie deal had added a sixth year and would extend through 2013. As we suspected, that is not the case. Long is entering a contract season, and the perennial Pro Bowler will surely command one of the richest left tackle deals in league history. Browns LT Joe Thomas signed an eight-year, $92 million contract with $44 million guaranteed last August.

Well, we better give him that long-term deal now. His demands will never be lower than they are now. The guy is coming off his worst season as a pro, one he didn't even finish due to injuries. If he plays the entire season in 2012 and returns to his All-Pro form, then the contact is going to cost us an extra 5-10 million. Plus, lowering his cap hit will give us the ability to keep more of our guys. As it stands now, it looks like both Soliai and Langford are going to walk. Maybe the extra cap room would allow us to keep one of those guys...

He's not going anywhere... Unless he's hurt all year he'll remain a fin for another 5 years

Oh, but it was SOOOO ridiculous when I suggested trading him to move up for Andrew Luck.

i would do it in a heartbeat, it's not a knock on jake long. it is a knock on henne/moore though. luck is going to be out of their leagues

Wow...thanks for the link...This all but guarantees Miami will draft a Tackle in the first round....Dolphins needs assurances in case his demands are too high...now I would not be pissed if we do go that route...

So Omar was wrong?

Yeah and this is the second time in a week that rotoworld has taken a shot at the Sentinel and Omar Kelly. I couldn't care less if this news was posted last week. Media outlets taking shots at Omar Kelly will never get old to me.

I cannot believe Omar was wrong.

BTW, where is the outrage with Rotoworld calling out Omar? Where are all the people that defend him on this site?
