Per Rotoworld: Manningham has visits lined up with Fins & Bills

Have to get someone...not much better out there....so sad, he'll be our #1.

I doubt Manningham wants to sign with the Bills. He was interviewed by a Cleveland reporter (Manningham is an Ohio native) and he said that he would not play there because it's too cold and because of the team in general. So, seeing that Buffalo is also cold and, typically, a bad team, I don't see him ending up there. Miami should have an advantage there. That being said, I'm not so sure about him. He had A LOT of awesome receivers around him and that accounts for his production. And his production wasn't much to write home about even with the talented receivers the Giants have. He's not worth what he'll likely demand.

People need to forget about the concept of a #1 Reciever now that philbin is here and it was pretty clear that would be the case when marshall was traded. Philbin's offensive philosophy is about spreading the ball around, manningham would be a solid pick up, then get maybe 2 guys from the draft and that'll be our offense. I'm definitley for this move as long as we dont pay him like he is going to be a #1 reciever tho.

you're right, when you have Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Donald Driver, James Jones, and Finley at TE...you dont need a solid #1 WR. Spread the ball around. Even though Jennings is a 1 WR.

Im sure they'll be no differece.

I'd rather have Greg Child's in the 3rd round. Manningham is a twig. He is even skinnier than Hartline,Gates and Marlon Moore. Dolphins need a WR with some size and athleticism like Stephen Hill or Greg Childs.

Spend the money on Winston or a pass rusher.

Why?

Greg Jennings... all pro
Donald Driver... one GB's best all time receivers
Jordy Nelson ... 2nd round pick (36th overall)

Not to mention a true seam busting tight end in Jermichael Finley AND one of, if not the best quarterback in the league throwing them the ball.

If we had an all pro QB, then there should be less emphasis on having all world receivers. But when you are going to have Matt Moore or even Matt Flynn running our offense, to think that a receiving corps of Brian Hartline's is anywhere near acceptable is just lunacy.

People are trying to compare Peyton Manning's situation where it was Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark and then an army of mediocre guys and spread the ball around to GB and "Philbins Spread it out System".... its easy to spread the ball around evenly to a ton of receivers when each one of them gets open on any given play.

What happens when you have a worse quarterback and WAY worse receivers with that mindset.... ill give you a hint, its not everybody gets the ball spread around evenly with catches... its that all the receivers share ZERO production.

Manningham is a handy player, but in no way would he replace Marshall. Just like Brandon, Manningham is prone to switching off and dropping balls and does not have the skillset of a #1 WR. I just hope to Christ that we do not get into a silly battle with the Bills for his services and end up overpaying.

This is the guy I wanted them to get from the beginning of course that was originally to be our number two but I still want him and we will only have to draft one wr

Don't want him. No thank u

Why not? I think he'd be a pretty nice pick up, made some big plays for the Giants last season and he's still young.

Wow, now they are saying the Bills might move up to get Tannehill, since he would be an upgrade over Fitzgerald who threw 22 picks last year.

Buffalo gonna be this years Eagles
:D

Yahoo's Jason Cole reports free agent Mario Manningham will visit the Rams Thursday night.

Manningham left 49ers headquarters without a contract late Thursday afternoon. Although he has visits scheduled with the Dolphins and Bills, the Rams appear to have line-jumped to get his attention. With four teams interested, Manningham still has a chance to hit $7 million annually in the second run of receiver signings.

No deal with 49ers. Meeting with the Rams tonight.
