We really do not need an "alpha WR" in this new offense. If we signed Laurent Robinson and Manningham that would be outstanding. A lot of reliable weapons with various skill sets. Spread defenses out and force them into mismatches. Its what teams do now. One stud WR is easy to shut down unless you're like Calvin Johnson.

Beat me too it. Alpha WR are a luxury. We can win with without one if we end up with a similar system as GB. May not have a WR that can beat the other teams top DB, but our 2 and 3 would likely out do the 2 and 3 corners. Add a good threat at TE, and it shouldn't be a problem. Bush is still a nice weapon for the passing game too.

if he came here Im not sure where he would fit in....I really liked him coming out of college but has failed to live up to expectations. He had a great superbowl catch, but the Giants are letting him walk for a reason. I think he could come in to Miami and fill the #2 WR position, but only be default.

You're forgetting the part where we don't have anyone with 1/10 the talent of Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, and Jermichael Finley. Great offenses have great pass catchers. We don't have a single good pass catcher, let alone a great one. But we sure can't wait to sign a few more linemen though. This front office is clueless if they think they can win without playmakers.

Obviously, I'm expecting us to land a pretty good WR in FA and Draft...not speaking of our current roster alone.

Mario manningham will visit soon, he has three teams on radar, Miami, SF and bills, but the latter unlikely after meachem walked away fr buffalo because they didn't want to pay

Schefter also said Peyton Manning is a favorite for Miami, and that he likes the smell of grass. He also said that the Dolphins out of the running due to the media swarm when he was in South Florida.

It's a shame. I used to have a lot of respect for him, but he's proven to be just another dopey hack.
