Perfect play in today's NFL: Slot drag underneath

Just a thought. Why don't we use Bess more like Welker and let him drag across the middle to catch it in space and exploit the LB's covering him? He did it once today and it worked like a charm. With the way the league is set up, this is about as money as it gets. Although the bubble screen has its moments, the drag has more opportunity for chunkage.

I know. I hate hate hate that Welker does that play 20 times a game to every team and we just kept on letting him run across like he wouldn't get open. Finally in the 4th they put a corner on him one on one, think it was J. Allen. (at least a few times) he didn't do much after that.

Bess really has a lot of the same qualities as Welker, why not let him run some of his routes? With Hennes bullets we shouldn't be too afraid of going over the middle.
