Of all the teams in the NFL, Miami was #26 in scoring points, and #8 in allowing points. Add them together to get 34, and divide by 2 for the combined rank of points scored and allowed. That would put us at #17 or middle of the pack.
In the AFC, Miami was #12 in points score, and #3 in points allowed. Add them together to get 15, divide by 2 for the combined rank of points scored and allowed. This would be #7.5 or middle of the pack.
Final record 8-8, middle of the pack, and we have a stat winner. :)
