Now that I have had more than a month to sit back and reflect on the Patriots' inperfection, it is just as if not sweeter than the moment that the Giants won. I was thumbing around in NFL.com and found some videos of Don Shula, Mercury Morris and the others talking about the Patriots' "persuit" and I could not have been smiling more. I LOVE the fact that we are still the only perfect team, and HATE that everyone else talks crap about the "grumpy old men" toasting to their perfection.

Just let the guys celebrate, they did what no other team may ever do again. My thoughts were that if the Patriots didn't do it this year, NOBODY will.

Cheers to the 1972 Miami Dolphins.:beer1:

Cool ... so what do you want us to talk about.

Mercury and Shula

Is this the video you were talking about. Mercury with the walk through of perfectville.

I was just watching thins thing on NFL network all about BP and he was being interviewed back in the late 80's. He was talking about the 86' Giants and he said that everyone they played during that Super Bowl season new what they were gonna run and no one could stop them. He said the Giants just imposed their will on everyone they played.

I found that to be an interesting comment, because for about 3 years in the early 70's the Dolphins were the same way. Zonka, Morris and Kick all day long, the no name defense all day long. You couldn't do anything to stop them , they imposed their will.

I laugh when people say the 72 Dolphins weren't the greatest football team in the history of the NFL because of who they played and the records of the teams they played. Well IMO it wouldn't have mattered who they played because Miami was so focused those three years that they just couldn't be stopped. They imposed a will that couldn't be matched and to this day has yet to be equaled. 88 years of professional and since the leagues merger in the mid 60's only the Dolphins have made it through an entire season without one single loss.

lets talk about this guy.

LOL I saw that movie, just wasn't Tom as the star. Ok, lets talk, over rated I think. If that had been Marino in the lineup on that team, you would have seen 60-70 touchdowns that season. Whenever Brady got in a bunch he threw it up in the air and hoped Randy Moss would just pluck it down, which he did quite frequently. You saw how he played after getting hit a few times, Overthrown-Underthrown-Bloodshot Eyes. The guy can't handle pressure, give him 10 seconds to throw the ball and anyone could make a completion. He just likes to hide behind his O-line and wait until someone gets open sooner or later.
