A roster full of strong personalities appears to be budging on its, “speak your mind,” policy as Sherman is said to have burnt some bridges with the ever easy-going Pete Carroll.

Sherman has questioned the offensive play-calling time and time again and continues to speak out against his coaches and schemes.

This is where the presence of Adam Gase reigns supreme. He’s not the California-cool kid that Carroll is, but he has the admiration of every single player that has ever suited up under him. He managed to corral the personality of Jarvis Landry and developed a budding relationship with the ultra-intense Ndamukong Suh.

He’s a cultural fit in the Dolphins locker room. But what’s more important to that, is his glove-like fit to the scheme the Dolphins want to adopt.

Miami played its fair share of zone coverage last year. This is the kind of coverage you run when you want the Pats to post an aggregate 66 points on you over the course of two games.

The Patriots offense runs on sight-adjustments, winning routes at the line of scrimmage, and knowing your defense better than you do. You may get burned playing man, but you WILL get smoked if you drop into a zone the way the Steelers did in the AFC title game.

Sherman isn't going anywhere. Not unless someone unloads the farm for him. And in that case, just about any player in the NFL is available for trade granted another team is willing to give up a king's ransom.

Him and Carroll might not see eye to eye going back to their college days at USC and Stanford, but Carroll loves him as a Hawk. He's not leaving that secondary.

I wouldn't offer Lipper. I would offer Bryon Maxwell and a 2nd rd. Seattle just got cheaper/younger and a draft pick.

Why would Seattle do this after they let Maxwell walk just two years ago?

The most important part of the Seattle pass defense is not Richard Sherman.

No thanks. Not interested in trading multiple picks, including likely our first round pick for an overrated cornerback that albeit good wouldn't be as good outside of that system. Sherman got torched last year.... Often. Different player when he didn't have Earl Thomas covering his tracks. If we needed a corner that badly, which we don't, then I'd just draft Conley.

How would we be able to afford Sherman and extend Landry? Nevermind that. Not worth the compensation.

Sherman didn't get torched last year and he was also injured. The only way Seattle can play so aggressively with their CBs at the LOS in Man Free or Cover 3 is with a free safety who can range from the middle of the field to sideline to sideline. Earl Thomas is exceptional, but he picks up the top end of routes by design, not because Sherman is incapable. He is still an elite CB.
