i'm trying to find reasons we might have a prayer this weekend at san diego.
so far on paper, it doesn't look too good lol. so, delving deeper, the chargers have a showdown next week at indianapolis. i'm sure coaches are preaching one game at a time, but you know their game with colts has to be on their minds. so maybe they overlook us and our defense plays well enough to keep it close until gus gets pulled and sage comes in to run the 2 minute comeback offense.

When evaluating this game that was the one item that I thought fell in our favor. It's a longshot but hey you never know

I don't think they overlook us. Drew Brees even came out and said the Miami game is a "must win". The only thing that may play in our favor is that LaDanian Tomlinson isn't 100%. If he isn't 100% and struggles, our front four needs to get pressure on Brees because our secondary isn't good enough yet to say "We want Drew Brees to beat us."

chargers are in must win mode. please. they can't overlook us.

division and wild card rice are both tight and they need every win they can get.

yeah you're probably right. however, it's hard to say they'll be as up for our game as they will be for the colts game. so maybe they don't overlook us, but at the same time don't have their A game either.

I think we need a lot of things to go our way to win this one. We don't match up very well against them. If and this is a huge if LT can be shut down because of his injury and we can somehow contain the Brees to Gates connection we can win.

i think that whole "look ahead" thing, is over rated and has been for years. Nowadays at least i cant concieve a team looking ahead to their next opponent. It just doesn't seem to happen anymore.

I would say this is more of a must win than the colts for them. They need to start rallying for post season NOW. and not let their hopes ride on beating indy. They would love to kick our A$$.

I think beating SD is very possible. Its just I wonder if the team that shows up will be the one that beat DEnver and Carolina or the one that lost to Cleveland and Atlanta. This team is very capable and may I suggest a few things. Manny Wright is under the radar, if the kid can show some super penetration......i love that word....then I think we create some havoc.

After the early season losses I don't believe the Chargers will overlook anyone. Might they be distracted with talk about the Colts game next week? Absolutely, but that team is looking to punch it's playoff ticket while trying to catch the Broncos so I wouldn't expect more than a little first quarter sluggishness.

I would say they are definitely not looking past you guys...every game from here on out is a playoff game for us. This is going to be played as if we lose this game we are out of the playoffs. So i wouldnt think they are already looking towards the Colts. If you guys beat my Bolts come sunday it will be well earned. And to think that a couple of bruised ribs is going to slow down LT I hope the players on your defense think the same. Good luck sunday and heres to an injury free game.

We can play with SD, no doubt in my mind. I`ve watched quite a few of their games recently, and we can play with them. They didn`t look good at all against Washington, and LT bailed them out, like he usually does. For some reason I always like our chances playing against a Schottenheimer coached team. We`ll definitely have to be on our game to win, and we can`t afford the stupid penalties (hear that O-line) that seem to plague us. I don`t think we`re getting into the playoffs, but I like our chances for an upset this Sunday.

Anything can happen any given Sunday, sorry for the cliche'--but anything can. ONE THING IM SURE though, is that the Bolts are not looking past Miami.

The players out here know that this is a must game and must not lay an egg, also, having Marty S. (Mr. Fundamentals), know how to instill in the players mind that this is a MUST WIN game--which it is.

we've proven that we can fight, and possibly beat good teams. The Panthers and Broncos have only lost what like 5-6 games combined, and 2 of them came from us. No the chargers won't overlook us at all.
