Personal Story: Preparing for Sunday's Game w/ an Impending Ice Storm

Should have a generator. They're good to have anyway in case of emergency on the east coast and the backup plan of streaming won't do any good if its a widespread power outage.

You know what used to rub me the wrong way? When Marino used to be on with Joe Rose on Monday mornings, a few times Rose would ask him what he thought of this or that play and Marino would answer 'to be honest Joe, I didn't see the game'. Those were real wtf moments for me, I turn my life upside down to see the game sometimes and DAN Fricken Marino couldn't even be bothered to watch?

My mobile hot spot is my ace. Phone charged and ready to go. No generator needed.

Hate to break it to you but all those repeaters and sub stations that bring you your phone signal require power too. Satellite on a generator would have been your safest bet.

The storm hopefully is not that bad. You are right about the generator, but you do not want me a handling something like that...lol.
 
Storm update. I have soaked the dish four times already. I got plenty of de-icer left. Supposedly, the storm is going to go dormant until 3pm. Maybe, I can get this game in...Fins up.
 
82 out in the back... only decision so far is which pair of shorts/tee/sandals to wear on a couple of errands I've gotta run this AM.

Haha! same here! lets pray to god we don't lose power! Theres like a foot of snow topped with an inch of ice in my driveway...
 
Just turned it on and my satellite is up and running, as I only use it for the NFL package.. Just getting plain rain here in NH :up:
 
I switched from satellite to fiber a few years back and the fiber is actually less reliable in storms for some stupid reason. The power flickered for a second once and we lost tv reception for like 2 days.

Freezing rain starting to accumulate here right now. Mother****er!!
 
Hayden, I live in New Hampshire and am also worried about ice on the dish. What do you spray on your dish? I've used Pam, do you have something better?
