So I keep on reading how everyone says that going 9-0 to finish the season is pretty much impossible and how that essentially means we have no chance at the playoffs. I also keep on reading how people say to forget the 9-0 and think of it as "one game at a time" which then relieves the pressure of winning 9 games in a row and subsequently makes our playoff picture look better.

As a fan, I'm not sold on either perspective. As a fan, not a player, all I have to go on is speculation, hope, and ALOT of thought. So, there is no way that I can not think about the playoffs. As a player, you would be stupid not to think of it that way, can you imagin going into a game thinking: "Oh man, I got to win this one plus 8 others just to even think about playoffs!"?

So, as a fan, here's the new perspective: Forget about going 9-0 and forget about the 1 game at a time idea. Our season is 5-6. We've just won 4 in a row. Who cares, all that is done. Now, all we have to do is go 5-0 to finish off the season. That is alot more manageable than 9-0 or ONLY thinking about the next game. I think that given the proper circumstance we can definately go 5-0.

We've been able to beat the Jags, whether at home or away, the last few outings, so it can be done.

New England suffers against Miami in Miami, we can beat them.

It seems like we always split the season with Buffalo and New York, so I can see it happening again.

Indy probably won't be playing all their starters and I was actually present the last time we beat Indy in the RCA Dome, with all their starters, so it is not impossible.

i totally agree man, one game at a time, kansas city winning lastnight made r chances a little tougher, as that was one of the games i had them losing, but i still believe if we stay strong and keep playing good football we can win out no doubt about it , and hope for kc to lose 2 more games. i think they will deff lose at san diego when they play in 3 weeks, its now a question if they will lose one of the 4 games at cle, bal, at oak, and jax. we can only hope

Actually, I believe Denver is on the verge of collapse. There is talk they could start Cutler next week. If that happens, they could continue to struggle with a rookie starter. Maybe KC and Denver loses two more to open both wildcard spots.

I disagree, as a fan it dosent matter what you say or think, just as it dosent matter what I say or think. Now as a player the mentality should always be one game at a time. Forget about the playoffs just win the next game period! And as a fan that I am, I will support whats best for the players. The playoffs will take care of themselves, there is nothing that anybody can do, unless of course you hire a hitman and you put a hit out on somebody like Carson Palmer or Larry Johnson. So our best chances are to win all the games, that is all that matters and the best way to do that is:
ONE GAME AT A TIME!

the thing about denver is , even though they r tied with kc rite now, there gonna be tougher to catch bc they most likely will have the tiebreakers over us in the end if it ends up that way, and we have the tiebreaker with kc, and also how much worse can it get for denver, ppl say that with cutler coming in , it may take time to adjust, but i believe that they will be better off with cutler, bc u cnt get much worse then plummer, so will just have to wait and see

we will most likely lose the tiebreaker bc the best we can do in the confrence is 7-5 and they r 7-3 already so if they win one there 2 afc games remaining,[ at san diego, vs cincinatti] they have the tiebreaker , so we prob need to finish better overall, bc the first tiebreaker is head to head which we didnt play them, and then confrence , and if we tie in confrence, i think it goes to record vs common oppents, and the common opponents we have r new england, pitt, kc, and indy and so far we r 1-2 in those games with one left vs indy and ne and they r 3-1 in those games so if we win the vs ne and indy we r tied in that , then i think it goes to strength of sched which they have, so will c wat happens, we rlly need to win out

as much as i dnt want them to go 10-6, they prob will go at least get to 10-6. at san diego is there only tough game the rest of the way, with the other 2 solid teams they play both being home games for them. and also cinci is ahead of us rite now for the wc so if they r still ahead of us by that game which is possible the way there sched is the next 3, at cle, vs bal and vs oak, we may need denver to win that game .
