I haven't seen anyone who was at thr stadium post on their thoughts of the game, so thought I'd weigh in. This wasn't the same guy I posted about last week, but I think he knows his stuff and this is what he told me about the game...

-Defense looked lost and confused when Pryor was at QB. They also blew a lot of assignments, and Brown's WR's were running wide open especially in the first half.

-Landry slipped a few times trying to run routes, and seemingly ran the wrong route a couple of times.

-WR's struggled to get separation when it was man to man, and couldn't find a soft spot in zone.

-LB's are trash... all of them.

-Maxwell looked like he didnt even belong in the league until they put him in press man, and then all of a sudden he looked like a whole new player, and his attitude even seemed to change, as if he was all of a sudden trying harder.

-DT's(he couldn't always tell who was who) do a good job of beating their man, but it would often take them out of the play as they would shoot up field and past the rb(I noticed this also, but only a couple of times).

-Parker had one on one matchup that he felt Tannehill should have just thrown the ball up to him. Said this offense should revolve around the passing game and Parker as the #1 option. Said Ryan HAS to see those and take a shot especially with the limited opportunities due to either the playcalling or the lack of separation by the wr's.

-Crowd was getting restless and were yelling at Gase because if the playcalling. Said some people want him fired already lol. Said there were others complaining about Tannehill and the defense and the rbs and there were people getting pissed every time we ran the ball. Said the crowd had a bunch of pissed off drunks, but everyone went nuts when we won.

-I asked him about Reshad Jones in coverage and he said it's unfair to bash Jones coverage skills or say that he doesn't make plays on the ball when it's in the air because Jones basically plays like a linebacker and hes close to the LOS more than probably any other S in the league, and if he wasn't our run defense would look 10x worse.

I agree these players look lost but that circles back to the coaching staff or lack thereof. The Seattle game appeared to make us believe our staff was much better than this

Alonso is trash? I think Alonso does pretty well actually, he is always around the ball. I think its time to put Hull and Hewitt in, or Vigil if he's healthy....on the outsides.

In Gase defense, Pryor at QB was new with no film on him to prepare, Cleveland next opponent will be much better prepared for it. Fans cry when we don't run and they cry when they do. As for Parker, when Tannehill threw it up to him last week he made a fetal attempt on the ball that would of tied the ball game if he came down with it, so i don't blame Ryan for not doing it again, he has to earn those opportunities, and we knew the LB are awful they are just proving it with their play now.....

Those comments seem pretty accurate. Really concerned about the way our defense has played the last two weeks, not going to lie.

It was the sam crap! Running to the edges.. When are we going to teach our DEs to contain the edges when certain personnel are on the field? If they can't then on certain looks for crying-out loud that signal challenging the edges. Stick Jones on one end and stick Jenkins on the other. DONE!!! DONE!!! DONE!!! YOU HEAR ME DC VANCE!!! DONE!!!

Pryor isn't going to run up the middle with Misi and Alonso waiting for him. So cut off the edges and force him to either throw it or try and take it up the middle where he gets killed.

What's so freaking hard about that on Defense. Same crap with the Patriots during that last drive with Blount!

I'd love to hear whether the stadium was significantly louder than it used to be?

This is actually the best Jones has looked in coverage in his entire career, IMO. He's always been "average" with coverage, but in the few games he's played this season, I think he's improved even that aspect of his game. One of our few continued bright spots.

We have to run the ball successfully on first down and we have to stick with the run. I believe we rushed for over 100 yards against the Browns.

I don't put much weight on a stadium seat critique.

Alonso is trash?

Alonso is trash.

Jerod Brown‏@jerodbrown62
Kiko Alonso should not be a starting ILB in the league any longer. Athletic dude that could be a depth piece. But not a starter. #NFL1000

Brandon Thorn‏@VeteranScout
@jerodbrown62 NE made his play recognition ability look marginal when they played. It wasn't good.

Don't worry PFF will tell you Alonso is great despite being on a unit that ranks dead last in run defense. Kinda like Pouncey being a "Pro Bowl" player who led the NFL's worst pass pro in franchise history.

I don't want to start a new thread, but it seemed pretty loud watching on TV. I saw the Browns QB having to use signals because they couldn't hear. However, the noise seemed dispersed and not localized to the field.

I thought it sounded way louder in the new stadium watching from tv. Of course that's always hard to tell for sure. Either way the stadium looked pretty good on camera... the rest of the team needs renovations. A bit drastic but there were some bright spots too.
