I haven't seen anyone who was at thr stadium post on their thoughts of the game, so thought I'd weigh in. This wasn't the same guy I posted about last week, but I think he knows his stuff and this is what he told me about the game...
-Defense looked lost and confused when Pryor was at QB. They also blew a lot of assignments, and Brown's WR's were running wide open especially in the first half.
-Landry slipped a few times trying to run routes, and seemingly ran the wrong route a couple of times.
-WR's struggled to get separation when it was man to man, and couldn't find a soft spot in zone.
-LB's are trash... all of them.
-Maxwell looked like he didnt even belong in the league until they put him in press man, and then all of a sudden he looked like a whole new player, and his attitude even seemed to change, as if he was all of a sudden trying harder.
-DT's(he couldn't always tell who was who) do a good job of beating their man, but it would often take them out of the play as they would shoot up field and past the rb(I noticed this also, but only a couple of times).
-Parker had one on one matchup that he felt Tannehill should have just thrown the ball up to him. Said this offense should revolve around the passing game and Parker as the #1 option. Said Ryan HAS to see those and take a shot especially with the limited opportunities due to either the playcalling or the lack of separation by the wr's.
-Crowd was getting restless and were yelling at Gase because if the playcalling. Said some people want him fired already lol. Said there were others complaining about Tannehill and the defense and the rbs and there were people getting pissed every time we ran the ball. Said the crowd had a bunch of pissed off drunks, but everyone went nuts when we won.
-I asked him about Reshad Jones in coverage and he said it's unfair to bash Jones coverage skills or say that he doesn't make plays on the ball when it's in the air because Jones basically plays like a linebacker and hes close to the LOS more than probably any other S in the league, and if he wasn't our run defense would look 10x worse.
