Pete Carroll Rumor?

I heard this morning on Fox News that USC head coach Pete Carroll was "intrigued" by the opening in Miami, and the possibility of coaching the Miami Dolphins; Did anyone else hear anything about this?

Yeah, it has been in the papers since Tuesday. Check the Sun-Sentinel, Miami Herald or Palm Beach Post and you will see the Carroll story.
 
I think He just said that to the media... and out of repect to Wayne and the Dolphin organization.. but I really dont believe he isnt going anywhere.
 
Typical media BS...

They took one line out of a long interview where he came out and openly said he was staying at USC and wasn't taking the Dolphins job...

I think he even addressed his team already about this...
 
yeah we know how well coaches in college and the pros keep their words thes days...
 
yeah typical media BS. Like when they took the one line from Saban's press conference saying that he is the dolphins coach and has no interest in Alabama.
 
Reports this morning indicate that we've given up on pursuing Pete Carroll.....

I'm taking him off my head coaching list as a result....

I don't think there's anything to it, as by the end of the interview he made it pretty clear he had no plans on leaving USC. They asked him this again just yesterday and he clarified that he had no plans on leaving. Unless he's pulling a "Nick" here, I think he's pretty much off our list. If not, then I'm really concerned about his honesty and whether that would be a good start with us considering what just happened to us.

Saban lied and tried to cover his tracks at LSU and here WHILE the season was still on.

Carroll addressed his team this week about staying there....
 
Caroll is DEFINITELY out as a candidate, he said no and specifically called the press just to announce he is staying at USC. Just because he paid a compliment to WH doesn't mean he's a liar like O'Saban Beenlyin.

Saban also had addressed the team that he was staying in Miami.......
 
You guys don't seriously want Carroll do you?? Maybe I'm more apt to remember the days of Pete Carroll at New England cause I live up here...

He was a TRAIN WRECK as an NFL head coach. He single handedly tore down a team that had gone to the super bowl in just 2 years....imagine what he would do to this team?!?

Pete Carroll = DISASTER to the Miami franchise, so be glad he is no longer in the running.
