According to the NFL Network’s Adam Schefter, Jets G Pete Kendall plans on expressing his displeasure concerning his contract situation to the New York media on Thursday.

Apparently he restructured his contract to help the team before last season, and he feels the team won’t give him what he wants this time around. His comments should be interesting. He might end up getting released and Schefter mentioned Miami as a possible landing spot for Kendall.

If the Jets decide to release Kendall the LG could sign with Miami. Kendall last year had a good year and wants to get paid and since the Jets dont want to pay him, we just might. Bringing Kendall would help our line alot. You dont only get a starting LG, but you get a player that can pass his knowledge to some of our young o-lineman. If indeed Kendall is release and some how lands in Miami, we could very well better our line and it always feels good when you weaken one of you rivals. Im all for it and it would give Mormino atleast one more year before he is thrown into the mix and it will also help our young o-linemen.

http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/10224902 Miami lined up at its most recent minicamp with Chris Liwienski at left guard and Rex Hadnot at right guard. Kendall would provide the Dolphins with an upgrade on a line determined to protect recently acquired quarterback Trent Green.

But Miami is going to have to wait for the situation in New York to heat up and then settle down. June 15 could be the day

Oh lord please no, we don't need another washed up, over the hill, over priced player. We just got rid of those and the purge is almost complete.

Oh lord please no, not another washed up, over priced, and worthless player

You need veterans on the offense and the reason he wants out of NY is because he had a good year last year and would like to get paid. The guy can provide an immediate starter and help our line in alot of ways. You guys are acting just like when we signed Carter, Holiday and Traylor. Looked how that turned out we had one of the most dominating Dlines. Kendall will bring knowledge, experience and a starter. The move can help our young o-linemen and the team.

He isn't washed up at all.

When the biggest question on your line is the LG position (question as in who will play there) and you can get an above average guy....you do it.

Mueller knew exactly what he was doing when he asked NYJ for the avalaibilty of Kendall. You guys also forget Mueller drafted Kendall when he was with the Seahawks. By Mueller inquireing about Kendall, if he is realease now Kendall knows we want him and will most likely want to sign with us.

Uh, no, I was very excited about all those guys. I don't think we need a 34 year old guard with 12 years of wear and tear on his body who hasn't been a very shining star for NY. The Phins need to use one of the 10 OL they have already brought in.

They key words in your post were "an above average guy", that he is not. Go read the Jets boards and then come tell me what you think about him.

My opinion is Kendall would be a good olinemen for us and would provide immediate help. I know we have alot of young depth at our oline and Im looking for to see them develope, but bringing in Kendall would help our team and give us a better shot to win and provide some experience on the oline and help our young olinemen.

I think he would give some depth on the O-line that is for sure.

I hope you all are right, our OL has suffered too long. Kendall did have some good years and C. Martin did give him props.

Good veteran leadership, that can still play the position, let's hope we can get him signed.
