I was wondering if anyone has any new news on the Pete kendall situation in NY and any news if the dolphins are seriously interested.

Havent heard anything...NYJ arent giving him a huge contract and I doubt we would give the big contract he wants so why do people think he would come here anyways?

I think he would make out o-line complete. I really hope they cut the guy.

He is only asking for $2.7 million this year instead of $1.7 million that he is scheduled to make. I think he is worth it.

And the Jets wont pay him that? There has to be more money somewhere that you could be missing - Maybe not, I just checked it and your right...So whats the problem? Why wont the Jets give him another mil..Its pocket change

The story I heard was that two years ago he had an off year so the jets asked him to restructure his contract and take a pay cut. He agreed and took a million less. Then he bounced back and had a good year so understandably just wanted to get back to his original contract. The jets said they don't renogiate in the middle of a contract although thats exactly what they asked him to do two years ago. So basically they'll renogiate if it's beneficial to them. Classy organization if you ask me

that is very classy...although the jets have a history of sucking consistently more than being good consistently...guess they also consistently suck at negotiating contracts and taking advantage of players

It would be nice to get him if he's cheap. At worst he would be a good role model for the rookies in camp as well as a good backup, O-Linemen always get injured so if the price is right he would be a good addittion

Regardless of how good/bad of a fit he might be for us, it's a pointless discussion until the NYJ's cut him. We won't trade for him and that's kind of what the jets are waiting/hoping for. If they don't get anyone willing to do so, then they don't have to cut him since he's still under contract. Probably not great having a disgruntled player sitting on your bench, but much like Daunte and the phins, they can sit on him for a while in hopes of getting something worthwhile for him. Hey, if it goes on into TC a few weeks, why not at least throw out the idea of a trade (DC for PK, I know others have suggested it on here). Assuming we get no better offers for DC.
