Pete Kendall is expected to report to training camp Wednesday.

Kendall hasn't received a pay raise like he wants, but he also doesn't want to face daily fines by missing practice. He might be a pain for the Jets in the media, but he still seems likely to stay on the team.

That is a real bummer. I really thought he was going to stick it to them and he would be released. He still could be released before the season.

Looks like the only time we'll see Kendall in Miami is when we play the Jests.

While he might have helped us out, I'm glad to see that he's reporting to camp. To many players complain about their contracts. If it was such a bad deal, why would they sign it in the first place.

ah but maybe kendall only gives them a mil's worth of football.....in other words, I'll play like crap from time to time.

Maybe we can pay him off to cause false starts on every down when we play them

He reworked his deal for the team and now that there is plenty of cap room the jets will not readdress his salary because he is still under contract.

His experience would have been nice, but it would be great if a youngster like Mormino could play well enough to nab that left guard spot and man it for the next 10 years.

Nah, highly doubt it. These guys are professionals. Although, I do like the thought of that!

Besides, let's develop our own. I don't want someone else's broken down, old and beaten, used to bes.

He would've been a nice pick up but oh well. I wouldn't mind bringing back Jeno James. He's probably the best free agent guard available. My only concerns in doing that is if he can stay healthy.

Why do you all assume that the Jets would simply release Kendall and that Miami would just scoop him up?

Did it ever occur to anyone that the Jets might trade him to a team willing to pay him what he wants in a contract extension? Miami isn't the only team that might be willing to trade a draft choice for a 30-something guy, y'know -- and Kendall's even got a couple of years on Green. :D

Second, where is it written that if the Jets released Kendall that he would come to the Dolphins -- or that the Dolphins ever even wanted him? All that there's been is a lot of speculation by journalists who may or may not have any idea what they're talking about.
