Pete Kendall... Wont be on the Jets next season, is he an upgrade for the Fins?

Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl">New York Jets are unlikely to offer OG Pete Kendall a new contract. Kendall is due to make $1.7 million in 2007.

Is Kendall an upgrade over any of our guards at a starting spot? I dont know much about the guy other than hes a 9-year vet.
 
i think we enough lineman now but we could use another wr.
 
dont we have a lot of WRs in camp... chambers, booker,hagan, hakim, campbell, ginn, malone, sutton.. plus PK Sam in Europe whos actually playing unstoppable today.. Thats nine, and I might be missing a couple?
 
Kendall would be an upgrade over anyone we've currently got at LG. He can also play C too - the versatility factor that Houck likes.
 
If we got him via free agency and didn't have to trade for him, I would be ESTATIC! He would be the best linemen on our team the second he signed his name and would make this offense so much better instantly.

What a June it would be to sign Green and Kendall.
 
Wow so Kendalls that good... Niiice... Can Fins afford him? $2.7 million...
 
Would rather try to get Faneca..will cost more but is one of the best. Steal some of the good Steeler players while their new coach destroys their team.

If we sign Faneca I will cry like a girl. He would make our team that much better and scarier.

He is in the elite o-lineman category. I'd trade a 2nd or higher, he would upgrade our o-line bountifully instantly.

Kendall wouldn't be bad either but he'll probably want big money now that he has seen teams spend crazy cash on the offensive lineman.
 
Any improvement on the O-line would help our team tremendously. The offensive line is the most important thing for a successful offense. That's the reason for all of Trent Greens success.
 
faneca is the way to go i'd give pitt a second round pick for him.
 
Well, we could either trade for Faneca (likely a high pick) or wait for Kendall to get cut and sign him. Remember, Kendall was probably the best lineman on the Jets last year and he would be a huge upgrade to Lewienski at LG.

LT: Carey
LG: Kendall
C: Satele
RG: Hadnot
RT: Shelton

That wouldn't be too shabby and our left side would be a strong upgrade over last season (McIntosh & Garbage players). I say we wait for him to get cut, just like we will for Green.

Kendall is a solid LG but is getting long in the tooth. No way was he the best Jets OL last year. Maybe you dont know much about the Jets, but we have this really good center named Nick Mangold
