Pete Prisco: Carey Over Andrews?

According to Pricko, we had Carey higher on our board than Andrews?

Is this true? Anyone hear anything out of Rick? If it's true, and we would have taken Carey either way, that was a hell of a job of hiding that from everyone that mattered.

I guess it would make sense. We panicked a little bit thinking someone else would get him... either we thought he was that good or we thought we'd be SOL on OL if we didn't pick him up quickly.

I am usually a calm guy, but the Carey pick initially had me livid. I'm better now and objectively, it could be a good pick. I'm no GM. Let's play it by ear.

When I watched the pick on ESPN, they mentioned that Minnesota was interested in Carey as well and also had him rated higher than Andrews. Maybe that's why we made the move to swap picks with them.

That's just Prisco making crap up. At the press conference, Rick, Wanny and Wise all declined to say where they had Carey ranked with regard to any of the 3 players they thought might fall to them.
