not good.. since King generally is in touch, IMO

here's something else further down that's not wonderful either:

e. If I'm Jerricho Cotchery and Laveranues Coles, I'm thrilled this morning. I'm not running all those 12-yard curls and eight-yard outs anymore. I'm running the deep gos and the posts. According to the can't-do-without-it Pro Football Prospectus 2008, Cotchery averaged 4.9 yards after the catch and Coles a dismal 2.6. Greg Jennings and Donald Driver were at 7.7 and 4.8 YAC last year. If I'm Cotchery, I'm making reservations for the Ihilani Resort and Spa right now. That's the Pro Bowl players hotel on Oahu, for all you mainlanders.

We're gonna have to hire housekeeping to come in and dust off our receivers weekly..or add fading centers like Kwame Brown and Alonzo who can still run 15 yards and jump... I guess
 
If McCown makes the roster ahead of Beck, that would suck. If the tri thinks there's a better option than Beck not currently on the team(Simms), I guess I can live with it. Cam-Mule's draft looking worse every week.

Not quite sure why we would keep McCown over Beck. Beck is younger and seems to have more upside than McCown.
 
going by that article, maybe the trifecta is thinking about cutting Beck, then picking up Simms and cutting McCown.

Peter King is the guy I trust most. I guess that the Beck era is really going to end.

Sattele was a solid pick up, I'm still holding out hope on Ginn Jr.

Solai will be getting a visit from the turk in the very near future I think...
 
If we got Simms and cut Beck and McCown, I would consider that an upgrade. That is very good depth.

Simms is really a good backup, so to have him at #3 would be a luxury.

I think Beck would be cut because he is a symbol of the old regime. There is a reason Pennington came here, and it is not just that he is a decent QB. He has that Hennig/Parcells connection in his favor also.

I would not. Peter King has been incredibly wrong many times. He is the guy who said that Freddie Mitchell would be a Pro Bowler in 2005. So don't buy into everything he says.
 
Why was Beck out there with the 1st team and McCown with the backups:unsure: I think if Pennington goes down Beck is in. I would like to see more of Beck and Henne in the pre season. I don't think Beck did all that bad and I don't see any reason to cut him.

I agree....and also Beck played Saturday against the number 1 pass defense in the NFL last season in the Bucs..
