But you gotta sign him the second he gets cut, and right now there are still no guarantees over his health for September. If the Dolphins sign him, it could be Daunte Culpepper all over again, and how many years did THAT set the Dolphins back?

Reality: He will never play again. I picture him as an analyst on tv or some form of coaching job. I'm definitely leaning toward thinking the analyst job though.

Agreed. If I recall correctly, I think Marino experienced something similar when it was time to retire and move on although I think he did not have an injury. The Colts have been good to Peyton and vice versa. Peyton has made alot of money and so have the Colts. They both need to tone down the verbal rhetoric. The Colts need to plan for their future. Everything comes to an end at some point. QB's from time to time, have to be able to take hits/hard sacks. I don't care how awesome your offensive front line might be, mistakes do happen and your QB will take a hit. For the sake of his family and health, he needs to retire. Peyton Manning is not the future of the Miami Dolphins. We need a QB where we can build a long term future around. Not a "2 year one hard hit QB, and off the field he goes on a stretcher with a neck brace".
