Why no love for Sean Smith in his list of 10 most impressive rookies. Anytime a rookie corner is breaking into the starting lineup is a big deal.

He has special teams players and role players for the Bills (Nic Harris) and Pats (Julian Edleman) on the list for Christ's sake!

What a hack.

He must've completely forgot about him. Since he didn't play in the 2nd preseason game, he fell off King's radar.

You answered the question in the thread title, because PK is an idiot. Who cares, we saw last year how the team deals with getting no respect.

King is a Pats homer, Chris Sperman is a Jills homer and of course ESPN loves anything that is NY and isn't Miami. Who cares what people think about our team. I love the underdog role! Go Phins!

Maybe b/c in his opinion, Smith isn't in the category of 10 most impressive rookies. He is allowed to feel that way you know, it doesn't make the guy an idiot.

Since when is it a surprise that the national sports media has no clue what is going on in South Florida?

Ummm...yes it does Doctor Phil.

Peter King is anything but a hack. If you read the article he states "Here are the 10 rookies I've seen who've impressed me in the preseason". Peter King hasn't been to Dolphins camp and Sean Smith only played in the first preseason game, so he likely hasn't seen Smith play yet. I think Smith certainly belongs on the list but King is simply listing players he has seen with his own eyes.

How much sunscreen do you guys put on before you climb up on that cross? I don't understand why people need to be supported by sports writers. If you want homers, we have Andy Kent.

Well, does not really take much to fall off King's radar.

Sometimes I wonder if he actually does any research himself, or just work with hearsay.

The fact that you don't agree with someone's opinion doesn't make him an idiot. Besides, I think it's better this way. Look at Fasano last year. He started as the player that came for half of a 4th round pick to be the best TE in a while for the Fins.

Let offensive coordinators throw at Smith all season. He'll lead the league in INTs.

That's his opinion and he's entitled to it of course. But he is a horrible Pats fanboy.
I use to look forward to his MMQB columns, but he can't write 1 column without mentioning his boys. And now that he's moved to Boston, it's even worse.

Berman is the guy who irritated me the other night.

He went out of his way to highlight & single out the two worst plays in the Panther game. I'll bet he doesn't even know who won that game.

King is like a high school reporter who somehow, somehow that I cannot fathom, gotten magically placed in that elevated job. His body of work at HBO and over the years speaks for itself. It does for me anyway...:d-day:
