Peter King had his normal Friday column up on SI.com (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/peter_king/01/01/gameplan/1.html), and he had the following in there:
"9. My All-Pro Team to take shape. I'm pretty firm at most positions, but I'll be watching the games Sunday and asking some questions Sunday night of players and coaches to solidify opinions at fullback, left guard, right tackle, three spots on the front seven and both safeties. I would like to see Percy Harvin have some serious impact on his game against the Giants to confirm his offensive-rookie-of-the-year pick over Michael Oher and Alex Mack. Still finalizing coach-of-the-year thoughts between Marvin Lewis, Jim Caldwell, Sean Payton, Norv Turner and Josh McDaniels. That list I'll be getting to at about 5 Monday morning."
I also follow him on Twitter, so I sent him a tweet saying the following: "Please consider Lousaka Polite as your all-pro FB. Most FB snaps, great blocker and short-yardage back." I also sent the link from profootballfocus.com listing all of the FB stats, where Polite is ranked #2 behind Mughelli of Atlanta.
About an hour after I sent that tweet to him, here's what landed in my direct message inbox:
SI_PeterKing: between us, he's my man.
So while he's not on the Pro Bowl, it's nice that Lousaka may get some recognition from one of the best NFL writers out there on his All-Pro team. It shows that it's not just us as Dolphins fans that have seen how good Polite has been all year.
