In his MMQB, we made #15 as a tie in King's "Fine Fifteen." He had this to say about the Dolphins:

"Miami (9-7). Trade Ricky, Coach Saban. Get a four. That's about the best you're going to be able to do."

What?? Granted, I know this guy's been focused on the playoffs and Super Bowl, but does he have a clue?? Ricky for a fourth??? What is this man smoking? I'd like some of that stuff immediately!

If a team calls us and offers us a 4th for Ricky, I would  in their face.

Followed by hanging up.

thats prolly accurate...
I'm not saying we could get better than a fourth. I just don't see Saban ever trading Ricky for a fourth under any circumstances this offseason.

That's why I'm amazed by King's assessment.

I would not be surprised by a 4th and a conditional pick next year.

I think Ricky has far more value to the Dolphins on the roster than for a fourth round pick.

I think he was making a point, not saying trade him for a 4

yeah if that conditional is a first, second, and third next year :goof:

I'd much rather just keep him. There is no one that we would draft at that #4 spot that could beat this former Heisman Trophy winners talent or value to the team.

Exactly. I'm surprised Peter King would think a 4th rounder would be worth more. Just because you can get SOMEthing for him doesn't mean you should trade him.

King is like any of us. He gets caught up in the trade possibilities, and forgets that keeping the player is a viable option. I agree with you... trading Ricky straight-up for a 4th-round draft pick would be foolish.

cmon people WAKE UP! look at the history of what people get for RBs in trade, not very much. a 3rd or 4th+5th following year is fair, wouldn't do it, but it's fair

Did any of you people see the same games I watched this year. Ricky flat out won two games for us this year. Ronnie lost two. Who do you want to get rid of.....................................:shakeno:

Ronnie is breaking into the league and ascending. Ricky is more towards the back-end of a good career. Who do you want to get rid of?
