Peter Kings picks Dolphins to finish Last in the AFC East

Ross isn't the problem.

Aside from being a little too vocal on what he 'wants' the team to be, and looking like someone that used to get beat up a lot in high school, Ross has done a decent job as an owner. He's improved the facilities at the stadium and provided Ireland the funds to bring in free agents. Aside from his PR flubs (flying to recruit Harbaugh), he's done what you could expect from an owner.

Never liked Peter King, but anyone who has followed the NFL for over 15 years will probably rank us as a declining franchise purely because of the owner.

We need a new owner real bad. We may have the worst owner in all of the NFL.

Everytime he opens his mouth he makes the Dolphins look bad.

Every decision that he makes, makes the Dolphins look bad.

His impact on the team will suck the life and all competitiveness out of our franchise. :(

At some point if we start off poorly this year everyone will just be going thru the motions to get their pay checks.

I just hope we are over .5 after 6 games. :nailbiter:

Im sure there are alot of people in Cinci and Oakland that would trade us owners in a second.

It would probably be a healthy idea to extract yourself from fantasyland - chances are Ross will be the owner longer than you the fan. Whether at some point he decides to sell is strictly gonna be this mega $billionaire's subjective prerogative since money flow likely won't be a consideration nor will anyone force his hand. Like it or not, it's his team to do what he pleases, so the sooner you can reconcile yourself with that as a given, the sooner you can more fittingly move forward with realistic assessments.

That's YOUR logic, do you realize how revealing your statement is about your thought process?

The coach and everyone involved with the team, and anyone who has been paying attention know what will happen after this season if they do poorly this season.

WTF? You blamed Ross and said that him opening his mouth would impact the team. I don't understand how what he says to the media affects how Marshall runs his routes or how hard Yeremiah Bell decides to hit a WR.

While he did choose the Steelers to beat the Packers in the SB last year, he also said this:

Out of all the predictions on that page he only got the last one right and that was the easiest one to predict...it was obvious.

I don't know if Peter King is right or wrong.

But we're supposed to feel all warm and gooey about an offense that has had 13 drives this preseason against the 1st string defenses of the Bucs, Panthers and Falcons, and has scored 17 points, punted 6 times, and turned the ball over 4 times. That's 350 net yards on 63 plays, which would have ranked us favorably (#12 in the NFL) last year on a yards per play basis, but with no teeth in terms of punching it into the end zone (see ground game), and a penchant for mistakes and turnovers.

The turnovers especially are a concern because they COULD help turn what should otherwise be a good defense into merely a mediocre one.

Turnovers did us in last year.

Remind me of the 4 turnovers though. I got the 2 picks by Chad in the first game and the Marshall fumble against the Bucs...what was the fourth? Was it against the Panthers?

Turnover on downs against the Panthers. A turnover is a turnover. It gave the Panthers a short field to work with.

Might as well turn the ball over when it doesn't count, work on fixing that problem, and moving on. San Diego led in both offense and defense last year and didn't make the postseason. The Redskins coming into Week 3 of the preseason were in the same boat and had scored 32 pts in two games.

Every year he's picked us to finish first, we end up having a terrible season; since he's picking us to finish last I think that's a great endorsement that we'll win the East.

I'm glad he has us 4th

I hope the Pats read SI and let ths prediction go to their heads. Likewise, I hope the Phins players are reading SI also and taking umbrage with what these writers are saying.
I would rather be under the radar than having a bullseye on my chest.
