Peter King's Thoughts on the Phins Sked

Eh...I don't think it's going to be that bad. 2-1 from that road trip will be respectable. Besides, that road trip made the final 5 out 7 at home possible. Makes it easy to build a good run for the playoffs.

What I love though is this comment...

4. I think it's got to be pretty deflating to be a Bills' fan right now. Sixteen games, and all of them 1 p.m. Sunday starts. Not exactly a prime-time attraction the way the Bills of old were. How about this: The Bills do not play a game outside the Eastern or Central time zones. Weird. That's going to be one invisible team.

:sidelol: NICE!!!

Well, great teams win no matter what. If their good, they'll win period. Unless your New England and it's 2001. But other than that . . .

Seriously though, any schedule is going to be "tough." Besides, our East rivals have near identical schedules. Plus, two games against Buffalo and the Jets, both ailing teams provide opportunities for four wins right there. The three road games will be tough, but again, great teams win because their great. Saban will have this team ready for a 8 week road trip if he had to.

And finally, the best thing about a tough schedule is that if you do win it all, nobody can bit*h that you had it easy.

I personally don't see it as being that tough. The three road games in Oct are very winnable.

Peter King doesn't have enough facts to support his theory. Of course it is tough. Any team can win anytime. But we will be consistent this year.

12-4

The 2004 Miami Dolphins are gone. This is a new era.

I gotta agree with him. Four road games in a 6 week stretch, including 3 in a row. That's pretty tough no matter who you are.

For a man who was all over Saban's jock a year ago and touting him as one the best 5 coaches in Football, Peter really seems to have fallen out of favor with Nick for some reason. Did he even look to see who 2 of our opponents are during that 3 week road stretch? We play ONE late game in December (not including the Dolts in the dome). We have 5 of our last 8 games at home, and, the first 5 weeks or so, when we MIGHT be without Pep, are against teams we should win regardless of who's at QB. Plus a bye in the middle of the year and right before a road game at Chicago.

I think basically the NFL did a GREAT job of hooking us up... kind of. I dont see it such a hard schedule. We got the Bye week right inthe middle of the season (which is perfect cause they always screw us and give us a week 2 or week3 bye . Plus, we only have 1 cold weather game at Buffalo on Dec. 17. Other than that, the closest we have to cold weather is at Chicago Nov. 5th. NOT BAD AT ALL!

It is a "really tough" schedule...or at least as "really tough" as the league could make it given all the garbage opponents we play this season.

HAHA! On that ESPN special they are interviewing Brian Urlacher and they asked him what he thought about the schedule. He said, "I haven't looked at it yet but I herd we play Miami and I'm hoping that's in December so it's cold for them." Mike Trico then said no Brian it's November 5th so it won't be that bad. Brian then replied in the most dissapointed voice I've ever herd, "oh :(."

Haha! Urlacher is scared of us. Man just another reason to make me even more amped about this upcomming season! GO FINS BABY!

 I heard that too. Too Funny! Good thing he didn't tell Brian that oh yeah, not only is it November 5th, but, they'll be coming off a bye too Brian.

Let him say that. That means he will look even more like a jack*** when we win alot of games.

Playing the Bills and Jets twice apiece should help boost our record. If we can split with the Patriots, we would have a solid chance at 11-plus wins, with games vs. Tennessee and Houston and four games vs. the relatively weak NFC North plus four games against AFC foes.

If we can win our division, we have a shot at getting home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. And if we get home-field advantage we can...............I am getting way ahead of myself here. That what happens when you are homer.

Did you say this in another thread? I swear I've read this analysis before. :)

I agree. Two of them are against two of the worst teams in football. And New England is very beatable at home now.

On a side note, anyone who doesn't like the navy jerseys needs to look at your avatar. That's one nice navy jersey. Where'd you find that picture?

On the official site under cheerleader archives. Her name is Stephanie and is by far the hottest dolphin cheerleader.

BTW I like the navy jerseys. They should replace those ugly orange things. They make my head spin. And that's before the beer.

I'm starting to care less and less what Kings says. He said Brees was going to be a fin and that a new CBA wouldn't be ratified. Honestly, this guy is wrong more often than not. That being said, he may be right about the schedule, but just as likely wrong. Bottom line is nobody knows how hard a schedule is this far out. It's all guesswork.
