Practice Squad
Dude over at fox sports hooked us up with his predictions and Awards check it...
"Baltimore at Miami, Sunday 1 p.m. EST
Walking through that Dolphins locker room after Sunday evening's win in the Meadowlands, I saw a team united. This Miami squad is something special. They love their coach, love their quarterback and pride themselves on playing tough, mistake-free football.
Whether they can score any points on that Ravens defense is an entirely different question, though. Will that Wildcat, double reverse flea-flicker stuff work against the mighty Baltimore D? Doubtful. The truth is, though, if the game comes down to the final minutes, I'd rather have Chad Pennington leading my team against the Ravens defense than a rookie vs. Miami's. Flacco's been solid, but I just don't see him taking this Ravens team any farther than a first-round game in South Florida. I know Baltimore beat Miami down in Miami earlier this year. I think this is a better Dolphins team. Give me the C.P. and the Fish in a low-scoring affair. Now, Ray Lewis, you have full permission to print this out, and put it on your team's locker room bulletin board. The Pick: Miami 19, Baltimore 13
For the heck of it, here are my picks for the 2008 NFL Awards:
MVP: Chad Pennington, Miami
Defensive Player of Year: DeMarcus Ware, Dallas
Offensive Player of Year: Drew Brees, New Orleans
Coach of the Year: Mike Smith, Atlanta
Offensive Rookie of Year: Matt Ryan, Atlanta
Defensive Rookie of Year: Jerod Mayo, New England
Comeback Player of Year: Chad Pennington, Miami
