Peter Warrick to be released

Bobby Taylor would be a solid pick-up for a 1 year fill in

If he comes cheap I'd take him. Come on the guy can be a better return man than Welker...

You obviously have no idea what your talking about.

Warrick is garbage. How can he easily be our 4th reciver. IMO booker, chambers, boston, gilmore, thompson and welker are all more talented.

You have no idea what you're talking about. When Warrick is healthy, he's a very solid #2 and a great #3. His talent is at least as good as Booker. But, if he's not predicted to stay healthy, then he's not worth picking up. Personally, given his money demands, also not worth pickin gup.

Welker has proven that he needs to stay. I think bringing in Warrick would be counter productive and he would never sign for the money we have available. I do believe we need to sign a WR in next years draft to groom though.

If his contract demands were not extreme I think the Dolphins should take a look at him. He is much better than some of the guys at the end of WR list currently and although I know a lot of you guys love Welker as a return man, a little competition wouldn't hurt him.

I have no idea what Im talking about? 1) why would the Bengals cut him if he is as good as you say? 2) he has serious problems staying healthy.

Then, even if you ignore his health problems and he is totally healthy, his numbers arent good. For example (since I dont know what im talking about ill let the numbers speak for themselves) 2003 was his BEST CAREER YEAR he had 79 catches for 819 yards and 7 td's. Ok, those are respectable numbers, not numbers that would make him a #2 reciever on our team (and again thats only his BEST year, when healthy).

To further back up my point here are numbers from Booker's best season which was 2002. And remember Booker has been healthy and consistent, unlike Warrick: 97 catches 1189 yards and 6td's. He is by far a better reciever than warrick.

I wouldn't say PDub is garbage.... He played for the Bengals for petes sake. He entered 2004 with the most catches (253) of any player in his first four Bengals seasons, returning punts and reverses every other play didn't help him out either. Due to a knee injury late in the 2003 season and a broken fibula last year the guy hasn't had the best of luck. A change of scenery could be good for him, I think he could be 3rd wide receiver somewhere. Just like anyone else you bring him in have him run some routes and catch some passes you like him keep him if you don't no harm done.

alot of you guys seriously lack football knowledge. Warrickis far better than gilmore or welker.

I never said he wasnt better than them. But why pay him money when we are already solid there. Welker is a great returner for us. Do you just wanna cut him and bring in warrick. lets spend the money to address need positions. Warrick is always injured and just isnt that good. Why are you guys speaking so highly of him. If he was so great the Bengals (who arent that strong at wr) wouldnt have cut him.
