If the the Browns pass on Peterson, he will probabaly fall to the Dolphins at #9.
Then what do you do.
He is much more explosive than Ronnie Brown. If he hadn't separated his shoulder he might be the best playmaker in the draft.
He has a better upside than Brown.
Do you draft Peterson and trade Brown?

:sidelol: Why does he have more upside than Brown? Trade Brown? Draft Peterson?

I still think Ronnie is better overall. I think Peterson might be a more explosive runner, but he won't catch or block like Ronnie. If Ronnie played behind a line of the likes of Denver, San Diego, Kansas City, Minnesota, Indianapolis, or any line/offense you consider good, he would already be considered one of the elites.

Peterson, 100% healthy, would not be the best playmaker in this draft. That belongs to Calvin Johnson. The thought that you would consider trading Ronnie because he hasn't rushed for 1,200+ yards or been an MVP in his first TWO years is stupid.

I do want him to fall to us, more than Quinn, because we would then trade the pick for more picks. Ronnie's here to stay, learn to like him now cause when he breaks out, you don't want to be jumping on the bandwagon then. And I think Peterson broke his collar bone, not seperated his shoulder.

He has a better upside than Brown. He's a more natural runner and has had more opportunities to run the ball.

Do we draft Adrian and trade Ronnie? I wouldn't but then again that's just me.
 
I would draft AP if he is there and then see if we get any offers....if not, then we could certainly use him. I love RB but Peterson might be the best player available when we draft.

I agree with you; I'd probably draft him if he is there at #9.

That would be one expensive backfield. And neither of them are doing anything special without an upgrade along the offensive line or consistent QB play.

As of today, our line isn't any better, and neither is our QB situation.
 
I think Peterson is a better back than Brown. He has the explosiveness like LT. Brown is good but can't break the long runs that Peterson is capable of.
 
I have a hunch that if AP fell to #9 Green Bay would be ringing the phone off the hook. They are in dire need of a back and they would love to have Adrian Peterson but thats JMO.
 
Drafting Peterson would be a waste of a pick. Its been said-we would have 2 highly paid RBs without a real line or QB or even WR corps.
IF he falls we should get some trade down offers, but honestly, I dont see him falling to us. Even if one of the teams in front of us dont take him, I can just as easily see washington/minny/atlanta trading with buffalo or GB for his services as us.

did u not watch him run over the chiefs and score .... when he ran over greg wesley and just took it to the house.

Peterson did break his collarbone, but in his freshamn season he played all year wit a shoulder injury. I don't think that's what CC Coach meant, he probably meant the collarbone thing, but I just wanted to add that he DID have a shoulder injury.

That being said, no way on Peterson. I will take Brown over him. Like you said, Brown takes it in blocking and recieving. Plus, Brown seems to be more physical of a runner. Peterson runs upright and exposes himself to injuries, and is obviously prone to them since all three years he had some major injury (even though he played through it his freshman year). Doesn't give me a lot of hope for him in the bigger, tougher NFL. I still think he's a great back, and if he was healthy he'd be a definate HoF player, but IDK if he can stay healthy enough to make it that far.

The ONLY reason we take him is for trade bait if Quinn or Landry are gone.

If we can't get a very good trade down, yes, we draft him, but it may be Williams who gets traded. But Ronnie has a little more value than Ricky.

Everyone should understand that Ronnie is nowhere near as loved or respected among non Dolphin fans as some think. He won't command the price most fans think he would because most of the glorification of Ronnie is in his fans imagination.

He hasn't really done anything remarkable yet, and come trade that is what will count, not his potential. Potential is for college players portfolios more so than 3 year pros.
 
Honestly . . . we are kidding ourselves if we think Ronnie Brown is a better prospect than Adrian Peterson. I mean that is funny. Ronnie blocks better? Ronnie catches better? . . . yea maybe . . . . but Adrian is the most explosive back w/ ideal size I have seen in a while. His injuries cost him being the best prospect in this draft (even over CJ, CJ wont see the ball as much as AP, which is why I would have given him the nod). If I had the choice of a healthy AP or a healthy RB, I take the healthy AP everytime.

However, with his durability issues, I would rather stick w/ Ronnie Brown and go another direction. Ronnie I think will be a very solid Pro Bowl back one day (maybe this year if we get that line and QB going), and we could use help elsewhere on this team @ 9.

If AP does stay healthy . . . he will be one of the great steals of NFL draft history . . . this kid has stud written all over him.
