Brandon Pettigrew from Oklahoma ST. is amazing...Im watching the texas Tech- Ok St. game and wow this guy is a monster. He is listed at 6'6 260 and he is a great pass catcher and blocker too. Nfldraftcountdown has him as their # 1 Te listed. I know Miami has Fasano and Martin who is playing much better this year but what about it? I know there are more needed positions players at the Cb, safety, guard spot during the draft but wow this guy is terrific. Btw the reason i didnt meantion drafting a wr is because i like ours currently...

I hope that our current TE situation remains as it is. He is a fantastic player, but now that both Fasano and Martin doing plays, then I see not a necessity to select a TE early.

Our thoughts must lie elsewhere. For example, as you mention CB, S, ILB, etc. We do not need another TE to the team yet.

In the game I saw against Missouri he was invisible. I don't know if he was hurt...but I had him on my "watch list" and he did absolutely nothing.

PS...You want a TE...Chase Coffman from Missouri. #4 in country for receptions with 73 (that includes WRs...) Hands down the best TE.

No, No, No, No, No, and No. He will be gone in the 1st or 2nd round. If we waste a 1st or 2nd on a TE, I will have to retire as a Fins fan, because that would just be stupid. We have some holes on thsi team and TE isn't one of them.

But anyways, yes this guy is a beast. Best TE in the draft easily

looks like the best te available to me. i need to watch some more of chase coffman but i wasn't as impressed with him as i was pettigrew yesterday. anybody got any idea what pettigrew will run??? can he be a vertical threat te??? cause yesterday most of what he ran was crossing patterns in the middle of the field.

love the size and i liked his run blocking yesterday on the goalline.

evem thou i wrote it i know they need to upgrade elsewhere...nice to see a 76ers fan on here as well...nice sig too

Hopefully or sadly, the Dolphins will look like the Cowboys. They have a Pro Bowl TE and about two strong backups. We have two strong backups and we're still looking for our Pro Bowl TE. So there is a chance and if we do well in free agency (Suggs, Nhamdi or Gamble, and a couple more role players) he may be a real option. Face it with are wins, we're pretty much out of the running for most of the impact players at our positions of need, so lets take the best player available.

The Dolphins needs are the same as they were last year....they need talent....

Pettigrew is the best TE in this class....easy...

This TE class is similar to last years....more pass catching, WR type TE's that are liabilities at blocking...than true in line blockers....which Parcells covets.

Pettigrew is the best blocking TE in this class IMO...but also the best period....which may endear him to Parcells.

Jermain Gresham would be next in line IMO should he declare....followed by Darius Hill, Chase Coffman, and Shawn Nelson.

Beckum doesn't have a true position in the NFL IMO.

the real question is do you really think ireland and co. will spend their first rounder on a tight end ?

pettigrew is good but there will be equal or better talented players than him when we draft and those guys will also fill MUCH bigger needs. I'm instantly thinking about CB FS NT OLB WR in no particular order

No I don't think they would...I think they would look for one to fall into the middle rounds and possibly snag him there...if they take one at all.....an in-line blocker that can catch....an upgrade over Martin.

Yeah i agree, but for my part i have no clue which TE would be worth a look in the round 3-6, i haven't looked the TEs in any NCAA games i watched this year .... do the hurricanes have one declaring this year ?

Not worth mentioning....although I think Epps has potential in the future.

Most of the top TE's you'll hear about in this draft play in spread offenses...they're not the in-line blockers that Parcells prefers...but Pettigrew has that potential.

The only TE's I see that Parcells might be interested in would be someone like Ryan Purvis / Boston College, "Bear" Pascoe / Fresno St...etc...that's why I think it would either be Pettigrew, or a middle round prospect that they feel has slipped through the cracks and provides value over Martin. One that comes from a more pro style offense....maybe Travis McCall / Alabama....
