1) Indianapolis - Is rebuilding and will not be ready to contend while Peyton is still viable, also they have Andrew Luck waiting for them...it is over and he will be released.

2) New York Jets - Salary cap problems from several years now of selling out to win the big one...the loss of talent plus not wanting to share or fight with Eli over New York.
This will not be his destination.

3) Seattle - The Dolphins have a better defense, which faced better opponents than Seattle did, they have more weapons including Brandon Marshall and Reggie Bush. South Beach will be more
attractive than the rain and gloom of Seattle...and his chances of winning a title will be greater.

4) Washington - Peyton learned in Indy...you need a defense to win a title...Washington is also not ready in the time frame he has left.

5) Tennesee - They like Jake Locker, also, they are not as ready as Miami is to contend.

6) Arizona - Again, mediocre defense....Peyton learned his lesson there. Fitzgerald is nice...but what else is there really?

So.............if healthy, Peyton WILL be a Dolphin. Rising defense...nice weapons on offense puncuated by Marshall's dominating Pro Bowl performance. Our first round pick will be an OT...giving Peyton bookend top ten pick tackles, and Mike Pouncey at center. It is a no brainer...we will draft a young QB prospect later in the draft or next year. If everything comes together....the 38 year Superbowl winning drought just might end.......................with a QB leading us born 2 years after our last Superbowl win.....who, oddly enough, was the last QB to lose a playoff game to the Dolphins....hows that for irony?

I really think its rather obvious. Miami is ready for it. And I also think that we could land some more FA with a cozy contract and Matt Moore is capable besides. I think we have a lot of pieces in place with some holes that can be filled.

Washington has a decent Defense. He could be headed that way...
I think Peyton will want to stay in the AFC myself though.

That is the way the cookies seem to be crumbling right now. Indy is in prime position to take Luck, and risking all that $ on Manning as well seems to be a waste. I don't see him restructuring as a Colt, just to give the keys to Luck in 12 months or less. Miami will be rolling out the carpet for him. We've got alot of good things to offer. All-Pro LT,WR,C(future)... Above average Defense. Year round Great weather, a grassy field, and a starving fansbase that will worship him if he can just make us relevant again.

Also, I don't think he would want to play on a team in the same division as his brother.

I've said it a hundred times and i'll say it again... i don't see why being in the same division as eli would be an issue at all.

Freehold represent !!!

And just think of the media buzz in South Beach and worldwide with LeBron and Peyton playing in the same city. I see lots of advertisement potential with these two in the same market. Could be HUGE!

Washingtons D was their only bright spot last year. I think Kolb, even though he had a mediocre year, is more of a reason that peyton will not be going to Arizona not because their D is not that great.

Washington's o-line has been a mess the last couple years. I don't think Peyton wants to take the beating he would take in Washington. If healthy, Peyton to MIAMI

Exactly...the Redskins offense is nowhere as attractive as Miami's will be for him...and despite Kolb, Arizona is elminated due to defense. Peyton has already played that game in Indy.

Or maybe not...

Matt Schaub anyone?

from PFT:

Here’s the latest, from Bob Allen of KTRK-TV in Houston: “Someone I know who is close friends with the Manning family says Peyton isdefinitely interested in possibly coming to the Texans. Peyton will be released by the Colts early next month and will be a free agent. The person who knows the Mannings says Peyton wants to play on a team that has a chance of going to a Super Bowl, and the Texans fit that description.”Though the Texans have a quarterback, a healthy Peyton Manning would be a clear upgrade over Matt Schaub. With that defense and that running game and those receivers, the Texans would be a championship-caliber team with Manning under center.

Before that would happen, Manning would have to be willing to put his Indianapolis legacy at risk, given that he’d be playing the Colts twice in 2012. And the Texans would have to be willing to sit Schaub down and/or send Schaub packing.

But the Texans are one of the few teams with which Manning could legitimately chase a Super Bowl in 2012. And if Peyton hopes to match Eli’s pair of Super Bowl titles, the Texans could give Peyton the best chance of getting it done in 2012.

First of all, the Jets will make cap room if they have an opportunity to get Peyton.

Secondly, the Redskins defense is actually very good. A lot of talent with their front seven and their secondary is decent. I still don't think he goes there either.

Arizona would be a pretty decent match for Peyton. There defense is ok, but anytime you have an opportunity to throw the most talented WR in the league, it's always something worth exploring.

Keep an eye on Houston. Great transformed defense with loads of young talent. A phenomenal back with a Top 3 WR. I could see them taking the left over of Jeffrey or Floyd to put opposite AJ. That would be a rediculous team.

You say "keep an eye on Houston" as if you came up with the idea all on your own. Was that thought prompted by the article written last night by PFT and Rotoworld, or did you not see the articles and think of it on your own? Either way, the Texans definitely make a lot of sense for Peyton (especially if he feels like he got d**ked over by the Colts). If the Texans dumped Shaub, I think Texans, then Dolphins for most attractive opportunity for him.
And sorry, I wasn't trying to be a jerk, it's just common around here for people to read stuff from other sources and pass them along as a brilliant idea that they came up with on their own.
