Peyton Manning to Miami...A Lock if Healthy...here's why......

Also, I don't think he would want to play on a team in the same division as his brother.

This was discussed on Mike and Mike yesterday. Mark Schlereth was on saying he believes the Mannings are as competitive as any players out there and they'd welcome playing against each other in the same division. All opinion of course so who knows right now.

Washington's o-line has been a mess the last couple years. I don't think Peyton wants to take the beating he would take in Washington. If healthy, Peyton to MIAMI

Ummm....you did watch the right side of our line try to pass block right? You could compare a lot of pro's and con's between the Dolphins and other teams in the chase for Manning, but I would leave o-line out of the argument. Our line (specifically the right side) was absolutely horrid last season. Manning and his bum neck would have ended up a paraplegic after having Columbo as his RT.

Peyton would rather live in south florida. It is really that simple IMHO.

I agree with the original OP's reasons as well.

Or maybe not...

Matt Schaub anyone?

from PFT:

If that scenario was the case and Schaub was cut loose, he would be a huge consolation prize. I think Miami is the favorite though.
We should sign Schaub, he is better than Moore.
Actually, I like that scenario better than having Manning who would be a 2-3 year band aid.

The 49ers have a much better team. Add Peyton to that team and I think they dominate and win multiple superbowls.

Harbaugh already said he's sticking with Alex Smith.
What else is he going to say? All teams look to upgrade whatever position they can, regardless of who is on the roster. I can't imagine a scenario where Peyton calls up Harbaugh, wanting to join them and Harbaugh just says, "No, we're good with Alex Smith."

I think the 49'ers benefited from a weak schedule. Even with Manning, they will have to get past the Giants, Saints, and Packers to get to a super bowl. Just too many good teams that will be around for a while.
Manning might have 1-2 good years left. They would be lucky to get to even 1 super bowl.
The path to the super bowl is easier in the AFC.

I think it's more like, Peyton to Miami IF his arm strength recovers when/if his nerves fully regenerate...because the man is healthy now.

1) Indianapolis - Is rebuilding and will not be ready to contend while Peyton is still viable, also they have Andrew Luck waiting for them...it is over and he will be released.

2) New York Jets - Salary cap problems from several years now of selling out to win the big one...the loss of talent plus not wanting to share or fight with Eli over New York.
This will not be his destination.

3) Seattle - The Dolphins have a better defense, which faced better opponents than Seattle did, they have more weapons including Brandon Marshall and Reggie Bush. South Beach will be more
attractive than the rain and gloom of Seattle...and his chances of winning a title will be greater.

4) Washington - Peyton learned in Indy...you need a defense to win a title...Washington is also not ready in the time frame he has left.

5) Tennesee - They like Jake Locker, also, they are not as ready as Miami is to contend.

6) Arizona - Again, mediocre defense....Peyton learned his lesson there. Fitzgerald is nice...but what else is there really?

So.............if healthy, Peyton WILL be a Dolphin. Rising defense...nice weapons on offense puncuated by Marshall's dominating Pro Bowl performance. Our first round pick will be an OT...giving Peyton bookend top ten pick tackles, and Mike Pouncey at center. It is a no brainer...we will draft a young QB prospect later in the draft or next year. If everything comes together....the 38 year Superbowl winning drought just might end.......................with a QB leading us born 2 years after our last Superbowl win.....who, oddly enough, was the last QB to lose a playoff game to the Dolphins....hows that for irony?

we don't have cap problems, we have a cap guru as our GM. He won't come here b/c we don't want or need him.

regardless of what you think or say, you guys need a QB badly. There is no QB on your roster that is starter worthy....period

That's just silly to say. If the organization felt we needed a new QB they wouldn't be doing everything they can to get Sanchez back on track.

just because your coaching staff can't see what everyone else in the world can see doesn't make Sanchez good. It makes your coaches look stupid. Good luck with Sparano calling plays..haha
