While the OP has many valid points and I could definately agree with most of them, there are several factors that are being overlooked before offering a contract to the guy. 1)is he really healthy enough to be successul in the NFL again? (and I know several docs have given him an ok to play, but that only means he can, not at what level); 2) Indy could just pay his bonus and keep him for 1-2 years to mentor Luck. While it's a strain on the cap, they are going to add a bunch of new players via the draft, so they could work the numbers; 3) Washington has a pretty decent D than given credit. It was their Offense that stunk and that primarily was because of the QB; 4) Arizona does have the Offensive weapons and ??? defense, but they just got some pretty good coaches lined up . . .and they can get D in draft and FA; 5)Don't count out SF in all this. They will sing the Alex Smith mantra right up until they draft and/or get someone in F/A. Then they'll say it's just competition for Alex and then when they eventually start, it will be because they knew if they wanted to be succesful long-term, they needed someone better than A. Smith; 6) NYJ, I don't see it. I think they stick with Sanchez for better or worse and bringing someone else in at this point is admitting he was a failure. They seemed to have pinned that on the OC this past year, so they will probably give him one more year; 7) Money$$$ We are forgetting that this may be a big factor in where he goes. We've seen it happen to many guys in the past and when push comes to shove . . .it's about the $$$$. I think it would be great if we can get a healthy and effective P. Manning in Miami, but I'm not sure it will happen for several reasons.
