Peyton Manning's bonus trigger rest of Manning's contract

I am too one of those people who believe the two can't co-exist on the same team. There is way to much talent and hype on this kid for him to sit for 2-3yrs, he's ready to play now.. Manning will be a UFA march 8th

The media's doing a pretty good job convincing me he's coming to Miami. If he does I hope Tannehill is soon to follow. If Peyton doesn't come I'm good with Flynn.

Lets say that is the way it goes down & Miami does sign Manning & selects T-Hill. Do you think Fins trade Moore if that scenario happens.

They might, but that's exactly the kind of move that could backfire. I can easily see a scenario where we bring in both Manning and Tannehill... yet neither guy can really play this year because one is injured and the other is just too raw.

If Ross and the FO think that Manning is any kind of a done deal to play a single down this year, they're probably deluding themselves. He's the kind of Plan A that necessitates a Plan B.

This would be a real stupid move on Peytons part. They will restructure so that he will get screwed next year. Bank it.

Good Luck Peyton! I feel a little sorry for you. Your being used should you go this route.

The only way I see him restructuring is if they give him a boatload of upfront money as he will just be released next year.

My biggest fear is the team waiting on Peyton and missing out on Flynn and RGIII. I like all three of those candidates, but could totally see the team bungling this up and us getting none of them.

I just don't understand how people can be unhappy with getting Peyton Manning!! ABSURD!! RIDICULOUS!! CRAZY!! Makes no sense to me.

I'd love the excitement he would bring down here . . . and I think all the rumblings that Miami is now a "Heat" town would be laughable, this will always be a football town you just have so many fairweather fans that they jump from side to side with limited loyality. This is Canes/Dolphins country down in South Florida, they just need to put better products on the field.

That said, Daunte at the time was the "more" exciting choice over Drew Brees, but he was coming off a bad injury and surgies . . . Miami has a golden chance to get the QB position fixed once and for all but we have seen them blow it before.

there are gonna be some upset folks come march 8th.

Now why in the world would Payton restructure his salary for the Colts, considering how they have been throwing him under the bus all off-season, including in interviews, twitter.

It takes two to restructure. If Payton tells them H*** no, pay me my 28 or set me free, they will have no choice.

Not to mention, if they were to pay and keep Peyton, the Colts are assuming Peyton will retire in 2 years, is Peyton ready to be pushed out the door in 2 years or does he want to go on his own terms?

I think he won't re-negotiate and he leaves.

Problem is, even if we land Peyton and he is ok with us doing that, I'm pretty sure the Skins snag him ahead of us. That would be ideal though to have both.

Don't think so....Tannehill won't be ready to play this season, particularly if we have Manning as it won't be the system he learned the position in. We'll need MMoore to be the back up in case they are wrong about Manning's recovery from the injury.

MMoore has already proven he can carry the team if needed and as a veteran could/would pick up the Manning/Philbin/Sherman version of the offense...
