Peyton's demands

So.... getting Peyton at all cost has a price limit? Interesting.

Apparently all the ranting and raving didn't have as much sustance as many wanted others to believe.

We have no respect in league circles, the press ridicules us publicly and we are scorned time and time again by players and coaches. Yet we think all of this doesn't impact us when trying to sign players. If we want to change our image, we have to put our money firmly where our mouth is ... or shut up.

You can't run a once proud franchise into the ground and not expect to pay the price to make up for all of the idiotic decisions and lack of professionalism displayed by this organization.

Do you really want Peyton? Or do you just need to say it so you can justify blaming someone else when you don't truly do what it takes to get him.

Put up or shut up.

If Peyton were in it for money he'd have taken his agent with him too his meetings.

He isn't. He wants another ring.

All of his meetings have been purely football related discussions, Peyton is interviewing teams to find out where the best chance of winning the big one is going to be for him.

As I said earlier in this thread, when you have several bidders willing to pay anything, the winning bid is going to be very high.

=============
Appearing on SportsCenter Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter said Titans owner Bud Adams is "willing to give (free agent Peyton Manning) a blank check to come to Tennessee."

Well...

Brady makes about 30 mill per year right?

22.5 for Peyton makes me rethink ...

Peyton was already being paid $23 million a year playing for the Colts. 90/4 = $22.5 million. He wouldn't be getting a raise to play for Miami. It sure looks like the Dolphins will have to dig DEEP into their pockets to get Peyton in a Dolphins uniform. What's really outrageous is Sam Bradford making $18.4 million a year ... more than Tom Brady.

Nose tackle Paul Soliai was the #10 highest paid guy in the NFL last year. Hard to believe. He made $12.4 million last year.

+1

Pay him , not my money and i would go another 5/6 years in the gutter for a superbowl ring.

90 million for a potential bobble head doll with one good hit. Forget it.

It doesn't matter how much he's asking for in terms of length or overall dollars but how much does he want guaranteed? If it's around $50M then that's very doable.

So u guys thought that he would sign for 4/40, this I a QB driven league!

Just heard, no written confirmation, that Manning wants 4yrs/$90mil. If that is the case, there is no way in HELL I would sign him.

No source???
You can't make threads like this without a link, source, anything but "I HEARD"
Come on man your better than that

But that was prior to 4 Neck Surgeries and missing an entire year. If they pony up 90mm for a 36yo coming off surgery they sure as hell better work him out and get him poked and prodded by our medical staff. Who really expects him to last 4 years anyway? Deal would be bat **** crazy if we guarantee the final two years.

Am I really reading these reactions on here? Lmao!

No brainer! Pay the man! Sign him!

Make room by cutting Marshall. Draft Blackmon to be number 1. Get mike wallace!
