After posting negative grades in five of his last six games, QB Ryan Tannehill finished strong at +3.7 on Sunday. He made a number of big-time throws, including well-placed deep balls late in the second quarter to Greg Jennings, then at the 10:06 mark in the third as he led WR DeVante Parker between defenders on a double move. He also got some luck on a deep jump ball to Parker in the fourth quarter, as Parker went up and over CB Logan Ryan for the 46-yard gain. Besides the deep stuff, Tannehill missed on only a handful of throws, and he protected the ball well. Throw in his key 19-yard run on 3rd-and-11 to set up the game-clinching field goal, and Tannehill heads into the offseason on a high note after a tumultuous year.

When Tannehill play's like this we look like a playoff team, his pocket presence was much better he was aggressive in the vertical passing game and extended the play a couple of times when he felt the pocket collapsing. We need to get a coach that can get the most out of Tannehill if he's going to be our quarterback.

That deep ball to Parker were he grabbed it over Logan...Tannehill got cut in half as he was throwing...couldn't step into that throw. The fact that he got it that deep shows his arm strength.

After the first game against the Patriots where I lost faith in Tannehill cause he wouldn't pull the trigger and go deep when the Patriots gave him single high safety looks all game I was surprised to see him go deep as much as he did yesterday. A pleasant surprise.

find a way to get out of 3rd and 8 plus and unable to run the ball on 4th and 1 and maybe you see things a little differently...I know what causes those 2 things and it's not the qb

We were still lining up in shotgun on 4th and 1. I hope I never see that again.

We was is in 3rd in long plenty of times yesterday and Tannehill simply came thru.

Yea Tannehill play's great when there's nothing to lose he didn't look stiff at all and actually looked liked a franchise qb.

yep he did...can't live in that world though...I don't care who the qb is...if you can't run the ball on short yardage and you are constantly in 3rd and 10 plus or 8 plus because you can't run the ball on early downs and you got dallas Thomas and Jason fox out there butchering it as a pocket progression qb you are screwed

anyways 2015 is over and thank god...burn that garbage play book and get rid of those two clowns and go to a full audible offense in 2016...the qb is not ruined

Tannehill did look good, for the most part, but we still only had 10 pts on the board before a hail mary into double coverage was saved by our stud WR doing what we drafted him to do.

That play cost us, realistically 4-5 spots in the 1st round. That could hurt us a great deal. Or not.

HE does this from time to time, what we need to see is consistancy...

As far as 3rd and long, he is apart of that as well...and making throws on 3rd and long is why he is paid like a "franchise guy"

I do see him doing a much better job at creating and that has been something that has plagued him in his career...if he can develop that aspect of his game and a little more consistency you may have a top 10-15 guy.

It didnt cost us 4-5 spots in the draft...we dropped 1 spot from 7 to 8....it would have taken other teams that lost yesterday winning for us to have moved up that high...

is that right? we only lost one...ok well that's no big deal if no one else helped us anyways

Lol I agree. I'm just happy Tannehill played amazing against a playoff team, that was the surgical Tannehill we saw in the preseason and the reason many ppl picked us to win the AFC east.

that kids always got the weight of the world on his shoulders when it comes to that offense...for once I would love to not have multiple worst graded players at a position on the oline...maybe then we wouldn't live in 3rd and 8 plus every damn game for 16 games

this stuff is beyond frustrating...if it's not the scheme that sucks it's Jason fox with chip help even or dallas Thomas getting abused on repeat

get rid of them

hell the rookie center snaps one off his rear we got a vertical middle seam route breaking to Cameron wide open on he's gonna split the d even and maybe score unless the trail db catches him the ball comes out like a wet fart to the qb he doesn't have time to look off that sitting lb which he normally would in his drop the timing is shot he rises and fires after taking in the 3 hopper it and it's tipped and almost picked...just a example of our luck this year

Very true but I think Tannehill showed yesterday when he play's like a franchise QB the offensive line and the whole team looks better.
