PFF grading every FA move

Interesting.... Miller took less money to go to Houston???

I love how they basically have nothing to say about our safety signing but its good because we didnt break the bank on a guy that has barely started in his career lol

Looking at the OG.s. Brooks got 5 years, 40M and $17M guaranteed, Too much. Allen got 4 years, $28M and $12M guaranteed, on the high side by $1M. Boone got 5 years, $26.8M and $10M guaranteed, fair and surprised we did not go higher. Ramon Foster got 3 years and $9.5M with $2.75M guaranteed. I have no idea how Pitt signed him for that little.

He supposedly had a better offer(not from Miami)that he turned down to sign in Houston. No way to know if it is true, unless the other team announces that they in fact offered him more. It will be interesting to see Miller behind a better O-Line(I know nothing about Houston's OL but it has to be better than Miami's)and get more touches. His high YPC might have been due to him not being overworked in Miami, or he might put up bigger numbers with more carries.

For the record I abhor PFF, but Quddus is the one signing we've made that actually draws some intrigue from me, FWIW (Not like anyone should give a rip about my opinion, just saying).

I've watched him in two full games thus far and a few clips from others. Interesting prospect but very inexperienced despite a 5 yr career. The first thing that jumped out to me was he seems a great teammate. Enthusiastic player who looks like he truly enjoys the game and always went out of his way to congratulate the defender who made the tackle or play. He plays well in the box with decent coverage instincts and was often responsible for the TE, Slot or Flex. He has very good speed and can also tackle with good power for 6'1" 200#'s, but gauging his range was difficult b/c again he played SS and wasn't called on for the S2S play that FS's display.

My main concern is that starting Lion's SS Ihedigbo was injured, and according to HC Caldwell, Quddus stepped in a never lost the starting gig. Here's the other side of the coin, Ihedigbo's injuries: Wk 7 - Quad. Wk 10 - Shoulder. Wk 13 - Hamstring. So then my question becomes did Quddus truly earn the spot or was Ihedigbo limited by his injuries and Caldwell simply spoke in heralding coachspeak about his player? And if Quddus truly has promising upside, why was he let go for so cheap?

Other tidbits of info: Twice last season he made 4th down conversions off of fake punt attempts.
- Week 6 vs Chicago, 4th qtr, 4&2, took a direct snap for 30 yards on an end around.
- Week 15 vs 49ers, 1st qtr, 4&1, took a direct snap for 4 yds on a rush up the middle.

Also of note, and I doubt it's an issue now, but he injured his shoulder in the week 17 finale after 9 snaps vs Chicago on an attempt to tackle Jay Cutler on a scramble and did not return to the game. Both teams we're out of contention at that point so I would assume there was no push to have him re-enter the game.

Just my 2 cents on the player.

And how many of those GMs actually played the game?

Still ****ing stupid how Miami has decided to not go after top guard talent in FA. Absolute insanity

Took less money to move to Houston? Has he ever been to Houston? That OV contract is bad. So is the Jenkins one. The giants are ****ing up big time imo. At least we aren't doing that this year.
