Hello,

Not bad for a GM (Chris Grier) who does not know how to draft (sarcasm) - please see link below. I have noticed repeatedly that most outside Media have a higher opinion of the Dolphins and it's talent than some members of the Board here and some Dolphins Media people.

Dax Hill and Myles Murphy were first round picks? I never even heard of them lol, and yet the Bengals are number 1 simply based on the greatness of Burrow and Chase?

I can’t really say there’s enough data to make a conclusion here.

The Bengals basically had the first pick of the Burrow draft and drafted his college WR the next year. That’s not really a pattern

When you hit grand slams you should be rewarded for it. Miamis problem is despite how many picks we have had in round 1 none of them have become grand slams.

Where’s round 2 and 3 pff scores? I won’t disagree that we are worse on day 2 in the draft but no pick has become a grand slam as a pro period in the first 2 days.

The foursome that has joined together won’t like this. In all seriousness. If you get a good draft pick you keep him except wilkens. Honestly I hated tunsil trade in 2019 and it really didn’t get us much at the very end waddle. Just draft well and sign then. Cause of that trade we had to draft Austin Jackson and sign Armstead. Then cause of mikah trade we had to draft holland. Where are we now ? Either even or negative. Most of guys bitching now probably loved all those moves.
You don’t ever lose to win

Not sure if PFF has made one for rounds 2 and 3 - I haven't seen it.

To be noted, most of the Teams in the top 5 had more than two top 10 picks in the first rounds so Dolphins #3 ranking is impressive - we had Tua and Waddle. Iggy was, I believe, the 30th pick in Round 1 after the trade down with Green Bay who selected Jordan Love with Dolphins 26th pick. If I remember correctly, we received a 4th round pick for the trade down. We blew the Iggy pick as it was based on potential rather than College production.

It's keeping talent that is a bigger issue for Grier. As an aside, Miami is right around. 500 during Grier's time as GM. If you are what your record says, that's about average.

Although, to be fair, you do have to factor in the tear down and rebuild. Say what you will about Grier, but that strategy took courage.

I think most fans recognize that Miami is in a bit of a rebuild. Don't know if Ross would categorize it that way, but the Dolphins have needs at virtually every position.

In other words, the 2025 draft really matters for Miami.
