PFT: Carl Nicks expected to leave Saints

theres 31 other teams in the nfl, im sure 90% of them are all going after this guy, what makes you think the dolphins have any chance at gettin him?

Colston is overrated and if you can sign a guy like Nicks then you do so. Our whole right side is a mess. He would instantly improve that. All we would need is a solid right tackle, from free agency as well, and we're settled.

Vernom Carey, Colombo should both be cut.

Playmakers? We have plenty of playmakers, we just don't have a quarterback. We're "set" as far as playmakers go. Don't think so highly of the playmakers the Saints have it's all on Brees' pinpoint accuracy.

Set at far as playmakers? Give me a freaking break. We have Marshall and that's it. Bess could be a beast but doesn't touch the ball enough, fasano and Hartline are mediocre at best. We need a stud TE and a vertical threat. Don't give me this Clyde Gates nonsense either. He's done nothing so far. We need explosive players in the passing game.

He'd be a great pickup, but expensive.. I think Incognito would be better at RG anyways. Jerry/Carey at RT

Marshall and that's it? Reggie Bush is our biggest playmaker, more valuable than Marshall. Bess is a playmaker. DT has potential to be a playmaker. Fasano is a playmaker. Clay is a playmaker.

What do you want? The All Star team? It's not going to happen. That's not how it works in a salary cap league. Great quarterbacks create their own playmakers. That's why Brees is able to get the most out of his talent.

You people are mad delusional and which is why you set yourself up for your own disappointment.

This.

I was referring to the passing game btw, not the RB's. But get a clue with DT, Clay and the rest of them. Don't let your homerism blur your vision of the roster. Daniel Thomas, really? I mean he might be good someday, but a playmaker now he is not. Clay could be ok, but we haven't seen enough. And LOL at Fasano being a playmaker.

Personally, I'd fill the RG and RT with FAs and add playmakers through the draft...

Seeing every "expert" has us taking Oline in the first round, why not make a splash by going after Nicks and taking a playmaker with the first instead? I think it would be an amazing move if Ireland can do it and solidify why Ross is sticking behind him.

Seriously?:rotfl1:

It also helps having athletes/players with 'elite' talent to throw too. And Fasano is borderline avg. Slow and disappears games at a time.

The one who needs a clue is you. Matt Montana Moore is a backup and so is Henne. Fasano has been solid when the quarterbacks actually throws to the tight ends, heck he was part of the reason why we won some of the games. I'm the least homer on this board so LOL @ "homersim".

The only playmaker we need on offense is at quarterback, plain and simple. Draft skill positions, but we do not need to spend large when we have plenty of skill players on our team.

Stupidest thing I've read in a while is to just pick up skill players and leave the offensive line as is, as if we didn't give up enough sacks this year.
